Great vintage look, and they had just the strength I need.
Perfect. I bought them for a 1920's dinner party. I use reading glasses for anything close up and knew I would want them when sitting at the table. I got the 1.5 strength. It's just what I need.

puts the fun in functional
these were ordered partly for a specific costume i am making, and partly for regular use as there is (finally) a term for my preferred style of daily dress: 'history-bounding'. so now i know! the spectacles are ridiculously cute. they look vintage enough to work with my costume, and seamlessly go with my regular clothing. they are clear, with good magnification, and function perfectly well for my small print/details needs. i chose 1.75 strength, and they seem exactly on target for that. the frames are smoothly finished and a pleasing shade of faux tortoiseshell. if they hold up to regular use, i shall be very happy with them indeed.points for other shoppers: because these are vintage style, the lenses are quite small. those who expect or need full coverage for the eyes to read without strain should take this into consideration. for me, it's not a problem, and shouldn't be if the main use of these glasses is minor, occasional magnification. YMMV, of course.not a problem for me, because i have a small (child-sized!) head, is the overall size of the frames...they are small! they fit me perfectly, and for that reason i can be sure that others out there would find these ludicrously tiny and possibly too tight for comfort. for younger folk, and for people like me---mainly very small-framed women or very narrowly-made gents---they work a treat. i'm very happy with them.

comfortable, no chromatic aberration, excellent case...lots to love IF you have a small face
First off, these are excellent readers if you have a smaller face. If you have a wide face, you should probably look for something with a wider frame. With that out of the way, you get a lot for your $$$ here:* stylish frame (obviously personal preference)* spring hinges* accurate magnification* no chromatic aberration (images stay un-distorted all the way to the edges)* a surprisingly good hard case, not some flimsy plastic pouch* two cleaning cloths* a soft, snug, cloth bag for the frames that can be used alone or inside the hard caseI often see people complain that their readers are flimsy. I suspect this is because they constantly take their readers on and off and readers are....readers -- they're not made of iron. So if you're rough on these they will probably break like others, but they strike me as reasonably durable if treated with care.If you want readers that will be quite durable but will cost you a bit more, Foster sells readers with hinges that flex every which way and are made of metal. I have a pair of those and they are definitely difficult to break. They also look more dorky. Anyway, different product. For the money, these are excellent, I'd definitely get them again.

Quality!
From the clarity of the lenses to the light but sturdy feel of the frames, these glasses are amazing for this price! I would order more if you get them in!

Quality frames and the lenses don't seem to scratch real easily.
I bought them for bedtime reading, Twitter, etc. thinking the large lenses would be easy to see thru at any awkward angle (V.S. the half-moons I like for working in due to the ease in which I can look over them) and I couldn't be happier.

Better than the optical store
These are just for reading and replaced a pair bought at an optical store that broke twice before they were replaced. More cost effective and a good fit for a man. Nice looking and sturdy.
