If they're uncomfortable and painful, then there's too much cushion. However, if I apply the sponges to the mold of my toes and install in the same manner inside my shoes, my toes are comfortable and theres no ache or bother. Also, they do the job- helps big shoes fit nicely. It's nice because mg elephant feet need comfort inside flats. Now i love wearing flats because my little toes won't be in any pain.

The inserts do their job well enough but that times they will slide around your toes so you have to take the shoe off and adjust the insert. That’s a little annoying but other than that it works.

I picked up a nice pair of shoes for cheap, but they were one size too big. I hoped these would help make them wearable, but all they did was move the discomfort from my heel to my toes. They did not actually improve comfort at all, just shifted where the pain was. I would not recommend these.

I bought these in the hopes of making my slightly too-big boots fit a little better (my feet slide back and forth when I walk, which tires the muscles and slows me down), and I liked how they included multiple sizes. The biggest size seemed to fit best, but I honestly can't figure out how they are meant to be used. In the toes? When I tried that, it cramped my toes and felt really uncomfortable. Putting them back behind my heel feels a lot better, but it doesn't stay put and slides around, like I'm stepping on something stuck in my shoe. These might work well if you have pointy heels and need to fill front space, or if you don't have long toes like me, but I'll be looking for something that works a bit better for my purpose.

Not a perfect solution to an oversized Chelsea boot but a pretty darn good one. I picked up a pair of Thursday boots and quickly noticed that my feet kept sliding to the front and my little and big toe would get blisters. Return policy was no good on worn shoes with soles worn in, not that I asked. I posted online and was suggested some products or selling them on ebay. Neither option I really liked so I stumbled on these with a bit of searching. These are stupidly costly for some peices of foam but I bought them anyway. To my surprise after a short day, my previous issues had vanished. My feet no longer slid farward and as someone else mentioned in a review, these quickly become foot cushions. How long they'll last is another story. Generally, for boots, these are great and serve as a nice last ditch effort before considering throwing out or selling your boots.

I have a small sized foot and have a hard time finding shoes that fit, I usually end up having shoes that are a half size bigger. I purchased these Shoolex inserts as well as the Xianews inserts and the Povihome Toe Pouches. The Shoolex inserts are soft so when you walk there's a little 'give' which makes the shoe fit more naturally. They work best in flats or heels. I also liked the Toe Pouches for boots. The Xianews inserts were too firm.
