Consistent quality that measures up
I have purchased 3 pairs of the 1/4" NPT 45 degree elbows now. I combine these with a brass 1/4 turn ball valve to replace block and manifold drain plugs on marine engines. Consistent manufacturing with clean threads that match spec, making these a good value. I still recommend using a pipe thread paste or tape with PTFE for a perfect seal.

This 45 degree brass fitting with NPT works perfectly.
The two brass 45 degree elbows with 1/2" NPT threads work perfectly for our front and back water faucets. Initially, I installed a water hammer arrestor and a mechanical water timer on the water faucets. But the combo protruded out horizontally too much from the faucet and was in danger of being bumped and damaged. The 45 degree elbow is perfect to have the water hammer arrestor and the water timer more vertical but yet easy to set the mechanical water timer for each use. This 45 degree fitting fit our 1/2 inch water pipes with NPT threads perfectly. Would buy again in a heart beat. Shipping was delayed twice but was worth the wait since this "brass" 45 degree fitting is not available at any of the local big box or hardware stores. Recommended!
