Worth making the investment.
These sticks are quality and live up to the hype. I feel are much less messy than mixing up oil in coldwax and dry at about same speed. Used to draw lines, mix with oil/cold wax or wet tip with linseed oil to use like oil paint with brush. Fantastic, worth the investment.

Takes a long time to dry
I paint with acrylic but thought I would try these out- they take like most oil paint a long time to dry but you can use them just like a crayon so will be a useful item to have in my paintings

Exciting, never used pigment sticks before, this is a good starter set.
These make bold marks, not for subtle gestures. They are exceptionally soft and once you have worked with them, they are not easy to put back into their storage tube, or to remove when you want to use them again. However, don't let this put you off as it is a minor point. This is a good starter pack and I will look at the whole range of colours, now that I know how they work.
