Cuisinart 8919-14 Professional Series 1-Quart Saucepan with Cover, Stainless Steel, Mirror Finish

I started building my collection of Cuisinart stainless steel cookware almost 20 years ago. So far I have 3 pots ranging 2qts to 5qts including a steamer insert that fits 2 of those sizes, a 10in fry pan and some baking trays/pans that fit in my (Cuisinart) convection oven. Each has served me well and I though was all I was going to need. For years I had been routinely preparing my morning eggs in the microwave (Cuisinart) by cracking an egg into a small ceramic custard cup coated with a little butter, wrapping a paper towel over it (to prevent it from exploding all over the insides of the microwave) and cooking for 1 minute. This was perfect to put in an English Muffin with a slice of Canadian bacon and cheese and eat on my way to work with my coffee. I was saving money (and time) not stopping at Dunkin Donuts and was happy with this routine until I started the Keto Diet and had to cut out bread (Ive lost almost 50lbs over the last year) and switched to boiled eggs but needed a smaller 1qt pan that I could just leave on the stove with the tea pot (Cuisinart) and life would be simple just to pop a few eggs in with water. So when I got this baby I was more than pleased with it's features (no surprise) It has a glass lid, a thick bottom that boils water quickly and a handle that doesn't transfer the heat from the pan so I don't even have to use a potholder to take it over to the sink. The pan has a nice weight to it and cleans up shiny and new with just dish soap and warm water. I have also found it easy to make cream or cheese sauces or to just heat up a can of soup! Look no further if this is the kind of ease, simplicity and quality you want from a little pan. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great pan. Heats well (evenly) on a gas stove and avoids burned spots. Perfect size for side dishes. Handle and lid stays moderately warm and is easy to handle when pot is hot.

Love this pot. It’s the perfect size for many things. I have a full set of very expensive pots and pans but it doesn’t have a small 1qt. Sauce pot. This is the perfect pot to round out our set. Quality is great. Heavy but not too heavy. Heats evenly and cleans up nice.

It's really pretty and shiny & has worked well so far, except for scratches that appeared at the bottom of the pot after I had used a stainless steel spoon. That's odd considering the pot is stainless steel and not non-stick. On a related matter, an Amazon staff had claimed she did not know where the pot was made as it was not indicated anywhere. However, it was clearly indicated on the box that it's made in China.

Adicionalmente, la misma tecnología permite que se utilice calor bajo (flama baja) para calentar algo a temperatura media, y calor medio (flama mediana) para calentar fuertemente alimentos. En este sentido, ahorra bastante gas/electricidad de la estufa. Por último, el acero inoxidable del que está hecho permite meterla al horno, lo cual permite combinar técnicas mixtas de cocción. Recomiendo AMPLIAMENTE este producto y las baterías de cocina de Cuisinart en general.

Turns out this pot was much better quality than I expected. It’s heavy and very solid. Foods cooks better in it and at lower temperatures than my old pots. My only complaints are when boiling something with the lid on water escapes out around the lid edge so I turn down the heat to stop that. Also I tried cooking pasta sauce in it and it discoloured the inside but I brought it back to normal by letting some vinaigre and water sit in it for a while. So just be careful not to use it for acidic foods. Overall I’m really happy with it.

Es justo la olla que quería. Muy buena calidad, resistente, no se ha manchado, no se pegan los alimentos, por ej el arroz y otros (claro que los cocino es tiempo necesario, no más) Bonito diseño Buena relación precio/calidad
