Sylvania SRCD243 Portable CD Player with AM/FM Radio, Boombox(Green)

This is a very nice CD player. So far, I'm only using it plugged in so I don't know how it might perform on battery power. My only negative is that the highest volume isn't loud enough to hear it clearly if I go into the next room. But if I miss too much it is easy to go back to the previous cut and replay it. Update: After 3-4 weeks it quit working completely. Definitely wasn't worth what I paid for it.

Bought this to take to a drive in movie theater that you bring your own radio to listen. It worked like a charm. We did have the volume all the way up and it was clear and easy to hear. It does take quite a lot of batteries though. I bought extra batteries just Incase it went dead half way through the movies but we didn’t have an issue. It played 4 1/2 hours straight with no problems.

I have another player like this that I love and use all the time. This particular one did not work and I have to return it. My other player like this is great and I use it all the time with my grandsons. I appreciate the quick return and refund.

We have 2 of these. Both worked ok when first receiver. Sound is not great, but they’re for the kids rooms, so not a big deal. The first one quit working in March (bought at Christmas). I blamed my son, assuming he banged it around. But now the one in the nursery, the one that’s high on a shelf and gets used way less, just stopped working. You put a cd in and it’ll play a couple songs then just stop. The radio never sounded great and it’s really hard to tune. Definitely not buying more of these to replace the 2 broken ones. My kids CD players usually don’t last super long, but we always get at least a year out of them until now.

Love this little boombox. A lot of bang for the buck when I purchased it(spring 2019). I wanted a radio/cd player for outdoor use on the patio during the summer. It has done it's job, especially considering being outside in a very dusty environment. Even plays old burned cds that are close to 15 yrs old. Has a surprisingly good sound, considering. Would definitely recommend. Even if it only lasts me the summer, it has been a good purchase for the price. Still going strong!

I love listening to music when I work outside. I like the feature that lets me hook up my ipod and listen to my own music. the last radio I had was ols and when this feature wore out I had to buy another radio. Also the radio part works great. I was a little skeptical because it doesn't have an antenna but it works great I get my favorite stations. Good buy for the price.

Plays properly 70% of the time. Skips or flat out does nothing the other 30%. It's primary purpose is to play a CD in my one year old's room at night to help him sleep. I'm past the return window, or I'd send it back. Don't waste your money

We wanted a simple CD player for our daughter's room, and this has done very nicely. No, of course it isn't an amazing stereo experience, but the sound is not bad. The color options make it fun for kids rooms (we went with the green to match the other colors in her room). The controls are easy to figure out even without any instructions. I honestly haven't even tried the radio, so I can't say how good that is or isn't. So far, a good choice for us. UPDATE: Sadly, this is a "you get what you pay for" deal. As of August the CD player has completely stopped working (less than a year since it was purchased). The volume dial has also developed a strange issue. Instead of smoothly moving the volume up and down, it crackles and fades in and out as if we were tuning between radio stations. We have tried the radio now because that's all it's good for. Radio works fine. We're looking for a replacement.
