The Honeywell motion detector is very easy to install. It does require some programming at your alarm panel to assign the detector to an alarm partition and zone. But there are many videos on YouTube that show you how to do it on a Honeywell Ademco alarm panel. You will need the security/maintenance code to access programming of the panel so find this first. Altogether, you need perhaps 10 minutes to hang it up (some drilling required, but no wiring), another 10 minutes to do the programming, and 10 more minutes to test that it's working and the alarm panel issues the correct information to your monitoring company. After doing one, I evaluated the vulnerabilities to break in of my house and added three more. It uses a CR123A lithium battery. These should last 3 to 5 years depending on the activity in the area being monitored. A low voltage warning will be sent to the alarm panel and your monitoring company when it's time to change batteries.

Works with my Vivint smart hub. Found and paired instantly, with 'add device'. Very easy. Tested multiple times and it is functioning fine, and tracking the activity. The only issue I have, is that the Battery Level won't show for this motion sensor - shows "Battery level Not Available" on vivint app. This motion sensor uses only one CR123 battery (Vivint motion sensors require 2 batteries), so the battery may need to be replaced more frequently. Much less expensive option than getting a replacement from Vivint (< 1/3 the price), and very easy to setup and install.

replaced old non working unit exactly. after a couple minutes of having battery install it replaced the old detector and saved us easily 200 to 300 for service call .

No issues installing this sensor, I added this to an unattached workshop and didn't need the more capable sensor, but this works well for my needs. Before this I updated my 25 year old alarm system to a Vista 20p panel and added a bunch of other sensors, but reused any current hardwired doors, window and motion sensors that were already in place (recommended if you have them already). My main hardwired motion sensor was replaced within the last 4 years so no need to update a very good sensor. This stuff is so, so, so easy to work with, but there is a learning curve until you get the hang of it, it's nothing to worry about if you are person that can read, document and planned ahead what your planning on doing and no need to spend thousands of dollars for a professional to install a simple home alarm system. Love the update, I recommend this sensor for handling small areas or areas such as a workshop or lawn shed.

Three out of four units worked. One had been previously opened and sent back out by supplier. Had to pay full retail but arrived at mailbox with no effort so its a tradeoff.

I was skeptical for the price $51 that this motion sensor was the real thing but it is! Genuine Honeywell 5800 wireless PIR. Works with Honeywell and 2GIG Systems. Shipping was quick from Alarm Liquidators ... For $50 I would recommend and purchase this sensor again from the same seller.

I ordered the Vista20P based on the reviews here and also on the image of the product shown on Amazon, which I have attached here. My order arrived today, but minus the battery shown in the photo. I don’t see any mention on the Amazon page I ordered from that the picture was not an accurate representation of the product. Don’t use photos of products if they do not represent what you are offering for sale, unless I’m totally missing some fine print somewhere...
