upon inspection quality and feel is better than expected for under $5
Just received my order of two monopods, upon inspection quality and feel is better than expected for under $5. The yoke where you adjust the angle feels a little cheap,, but will put it to the test soon. Fully retracted it did slip some, but after extending, seems pretty sturdy (with the GoPro and piggyback battery) There is also a 1/4" thread on the bottom of the handle so you can use it on a tripod too. When I did not receive my order (was a week late from estimated shipping date) I was concerned and emailed the seller. He was very prompt and responded that same day. Lo and behold, my order came the next day. Four stars for now (until I road test it), five for the sellers response!*UPDATE 2/27/15. Worked great on our vacation, then the head started to wobble. Probably from the weight of the GoPro BacPac camera battery. Would advise to use just the normal battery. After returning home, I disassembled the yoke, removing the adjustment knob, removing the pivot head. I drilled a small hole from the top of the yoke into the shaft, drilling clear through the plastic. I bought one of those "one shot" of super glue, and holding the stick upside down, squeezed the entire tube of super glue into the shaft so that it would fill all the space between the shaft and the plastic yoke. Don't forget to tape outside the joint between the yoke and the shaft, and cover the hole to prevent drips into the yoke. After letting it dry for 24 hrs, it held up well! Might seem trivial to repair a cheapie item like this, but this stick is worth the money, just needed a little fine tuning, works great now...Thanks for listening

I'm driving Lyft as Code Dan2150 - I find another Monopole
I love buying things from Amazon though problem with this product is if you place a camera or go pro on the mount it will hold it except it will rotate automatically as the metal is not strong enough to hold the wait of the product.if you extend the pole in upright position to over look and will work just fine but in the diagonal or horizontal direction the camera just does 180' and not you are recording it upside down.not really happen - states in other reviews as well.

Works like a charm
Works like a charm, just make sure you wash out with fresh water if you swim with it. It will start rusting and or sticking if you don't but after using mine for a year, I didn't feel bad ordering a new one at the price.

At full extension expect it to be a little wobbly.
Works well and was easy to use, but when fully extended it tends to get a little wobbly. For the price though it's hard to beat and has not let us down.

I agree.... not strong enough to stop it from spinning.
It serves it's purpose. I do agree with most of the posts here that it spins. You just have to twist it until you find the spot to hold it still. I also tried some pliers to tighten it up a little and seemed to do the job.

Sturdy. Great value.
Great value for an extendable pole. The swivel tightens down well. When fully extended with a GoPro on the end there is a slight bow. So, I tend not to fully extend every segmentOtherwise, it seems very sturdy.Looks good as well.I'll update this once it's seen more use in wetter/snowy conditions and action sports.

great value !
great value, works as advertised although wouldn't mount anything other than a go pro, when fully extended out can get a bit flimsy

very good monopod
Its a very good monopod. The only problem is that one of the extendables gets stuck a bit but besides that is perfect
