For Piano: Jane Austen's World | Piano Sheet Music Songbook | Intermediate Film Score Arrangements for Piano | Classic Movie Music from Pride and Prejudice Emma Sense and Sensibility Persuasion Review: Fun music to have - I bought this for my girls, 12 & 16 years old, and myself. The Pride and Prejudice theme song really sounds like the one from the movie and is fun to play. While slightly easier to play, I think the version or this piece in this book sounds more like the movie than the other Jane Austen music book ( the teal colored one). I would say the pianist needs to be in at least a level 3 or 4 piano book to be able to play these pieces. Review: Most of this is beautiful! - I bought this book and several others that have not arrived yet. It is a lovely book and I'm so happy to have it in my collection. It includes: From EMMA by Rachel Portman: Frank Churchill Arrives End Titles From SENSE & SENSIBILITY by Patrick Doyle My Father's Favorite Devonshire ALl the Better for Her Excellent Notion The Dreame From PRIDE & PREJUDICE by Carl Davis Theme Canon Collins The Gardiners Summary From PERSUASION by Jeremy Sams Theme Tristesse Italian Aria I purchased this book without really knowing which music was included, but I definitely wanted the Sense & Sensibility pieces. I really enjoy all of them, especially the pieces from Persuasion. Funny, but that soundtrack never stood out to me when I watched this film. I really wouldn't have thought those pieces would be my favorite. Italian Aria, though, is gorgeous and, though simple, even my 11 year old son came over to the piano when I was playing and exclaimed how pretty the music was! The pieces range from cheerful and upbeat to haunting and sad. Additionally, some sound as if they were written during the baroque period, and some sound as if they were written during the Romantic period. A real variety of music is presented here. I am thoroughly enjoying this book. The transcriptions are really for beginners to intermediate level players. The easier pieces, though, are not "EASY PIANO". It's just easier because the tempo is simple and there are only a couple of sharps or flats at one time. There is nothing too difficult here, but they still sound wonderful.

Great selections of music
I really enjoy the different selections of music from some of my favorite classic feature films! It’s fun to bring Jane Austin’s world into my home!!

Beautiful music, very fun to play
Beautiful music, very fun to play. Intermediate level. I love playing from this book and so does my 14 year old son.

Very simple arrangements, but fine selection of pieces
I was really looking forward to getting my hands on some of the songs in this book, but the arrangements are much more simplified than I had anticipated. I had hoped for performance level pieces. They are really more suitable for someone who is still learning to play piano. However, it is a very nice selection, well put together, and very fun to play from. My disappointment is more my own fault for not reading the comments more thoroughly.

Something your wife will tolerate you practicing ALOT
So you started learning piano in your 40's, you got about half way through the third (of three) Alfred's books and it takes 40 or 50 repetitions to learn a new piece of music. Your wife is a Jane Austen afficionada. This book is a great choice. Challenging pieces for the beginner and nice tunes.

Great music!
Wonderful for intermediate players. The songs are easy enough and bring back the sounds of the Pride and Prejudice mini series. I love it and play these selections very often!

Un grand bonheur, pour une pianiste débutante comme moi, de pouvoir jouer les musiques de ces films que j'aime tant...

Adaptación muy sencilla para piano lo que hace perder parte de la belleza de las melodías

This book is a little gem, which I discovered by accident, while searching for the sheet music to BBC's P&P ( the one with Jennifer Ehle and you know who). The list of pieces is small but varied, and very easy arrangements to play, while sounding quite complex. My OH loves to hear me playing My Father's Favourite Emma frank Churchill Arrives Italian aria Mr Collins Theme from pride and prejudice It's been well worth the £8 I forked out for it.

Great pieces! Love to play them when I need a break from my required practicing. As an advanced pianist, these are very easy to sight read. But the melodies are so beautiful that I don’t think about the level.
