Perfect fit and easy installation. Although arrival was supposed to be 11/30-12/5, I received it 11/27 and ordered on 11/24. Actually quicker than Prime!

Fits & Works Fine
After the sprocket on my opener broke in half, I ordered this replacement. It was easy to install, fit exactly the same as the old one, seems to be made of the same material, and is working fine so far. I would have rated it 5 stars, but the main concern is durability, and that can't be assessed right away. The old one lasted almost 30 years, so I'm hoping this one will, too. I had hoped to be able to find a metal sprocket replacement -- then I could be sure it would last. But nobody seems to make one for this opener.

Fixed my garage door
Bought an older house with an Allister Type II a garage door opener. Got to liking the opener since it's quite fast and eschews the excessive safety features of new garage door openers. Anyhow one day as I'm closing the door I hear a loud crack, followed by the door crashing down. Looked around for damage and found a cracked black plastic sprocket near the front of the garage. Came online, found this black plastic sprocket and ordered it. Replacing the sprocket wasn't fun, but I doubt it was harder than installing a whole new opener. Right after the install I had a lot of chain noise, so I gave it some more slack. Unlike a bicycle, a slight dip in the chain is ideal, it seems. Still had a few occasional overslack failures (where the opener starts closing but gets jammed by the slacked chain) initially, but after wearing in the new sprocket it seems everything is back to functioning exactly as before. I expect this to eventually crack and fail since it's plastic and taking a decent amount of strain, but that's life, right?
