Good Vacuum Cleaner for It's Type
This review is based on using this vacuum cleaner just one time, but I think that's enough to tell you what I think. First of all, when buying these small, lightweight vacuum cleaners, you have to remember that they are in a different class from the larger, heavier vacuum cleaners. I had been using an old Hoover vacuum, which was very good, but it had gotten to be too heavy for me to use comfortably. That is why I got this vacuum cleaner. This is the second small dirt devil vacuum cleaner I've had. The first one worked extremely well for it's size and I loved it. It ran well for about 7 or 8 years and then didn't work so well, but my vacuum cleaner guy (who would clean it, etc., from time to time), said I had gotten a good deal from it. Cut to today when I now have 3 cats in the house (before I just had 1 cat), and wall to wall carpeting. Prior to getting this, I had found that it was a good idea to use a large slicker brush (also used to brush one of my cats) to go over the rugs and pick up as much cat hair as possible. Then I would vacuum and that seemed to be easier on the vacuum cleaner. Since this was the first time I used this vacuum cleaner, however, I didn't do that; I decided to give it the acid test and see how it worked on the rugs with a natural amount of cat hair for my house. I am pleased to say that this vacuum cleaner performed quite well. Because this vacuum cleaner is so light, it was much easier for me to use than the old heavier vacuum cleaner. I did have to empty out the canister three times, but that was to be expected because the canister is quite small (because the vacuum cleaner is small). This wasn't hard to do, you basically push a lever, and the bottom of the canister opens up. Putting the canister back into the vacuum cleaner took a little bit of practice, but by the end of doing the 3 rooms on my first floor, I had gotten the knack of it. So if you are looking for a vacuum which is small and light, sucks up pet fur really well, and are not expecting it to last forever, like the older Hoovers do, in my opinion this is a good buy. If something happens later on to change my opinion, I will update this review.

Good vacuum for a cheap price
Before I say too much, I bought this vacuum for $25 because I had a $25 gift card. I got this vacuum to keep the outdoor carpet in my screened in patio clean. Also, my main vacuum is an Oreck, so I have high standards when it comes to vacuums. (My old patio vac that I retired when I bought my Oreck now smells like fire when I use it, so I needed a new one.) The vacuum is light, and very small. There's not too many bells and whistles on this little beast, but it does a good job. It's picking up outside dirt on my outdoor carpet, and it's getting all of it. My one main complaint about this little guy is that the wheels squeak a lot. If I were indoors vacuuming my house with it, it would be really annoying. But I'm outside, so I don't care that much. The dirt canister is small, because well the whole unit is small. I don't think it would need to be emptied too often, but it's not a full size vac, just remember that. It was extremely easy to put together, take out of box, slip in handle, untwist-tie cord, vacuum. If you are looking for a very cheap vacuum that will suck stuff up, it will work. But it's no Oreck :)

The perfect vacuum for apartments
After three years, our old vacuum cleaner gave up the ghost in a puff of smoke. Sadly, we took to Amazon in the hopes of finding a new cleaner. We bought this one because the price is beyond right (Under $100 for a vacuum cleaner? Uh, ya. Awesome.), but also because the reviews were really great. We were, of course, skeptical and when we got it we tried it out and it did well. We were impressed for such a little thing. We eventually moved into our current apartment which is 1280 square feet and despite having two dogs, a cat and a baby on the way this thing works so well that the things it gets out of my carpet almost terrifies me. Who knew my dogs shed that much? So here are some pros and cons of the cleaner. Pros: - Picks up dog and cat hair out of carpet like none other. - Cleans really well and quickly, which we found out after taking down our Christmas tree. - Really compact and light. In my ninth month of pregnancy I can easily lift this up and move it around with no trouble. - Easy to assemble and very few moving parts. Less for you to break! - The hose quickly and easily sucks up dog hair that is in the carpet. - Like I've said before it works really really well. Perhaps too well. Cons: - You have to empty it pretty often because it is that good. - You have to remove the filter in order to dump the stuff from the cleaner out. - The extendable hose does not go that far. - The unit is pretty short. All in all, I would say this vacuum cleaner is a great purchase. It's perfect for the price and it does a great job with animal hair. The biggest downside to it is you find out what's in your carpet and that can be pretty gross.

The motor driven brush was the clincher for me on this one. Thing has some pretty decent suction for a vacuum in this price range. For my one bedroom apartment this thing is perfect. Cord length is pretty nice too. Easy to empty the dust container and brush off the filter between uses. Snaps in place very securely. Well built vacuum.

Great suction. Easy to empty. Works on hardwood floors without scratching or carpet. Great value for the money.

Great little vacuum. We've only used on carpet, but it works really well on our area rug, floor mats and hall runner (all low pile carpet). We have small children and it does a good job of picking up lots of dirt/hair/food crumbs, etc. My only issue is it doesn't glide really smoothly, so when using on smaller/lighter carpet like floor mats it tends to pull the corners of the mat back. Still, for the price and how well it cleans it's a great buy.

This vacuum is powerful and has good suction on carpet. It does a great job picking up all debris and pet hair. However, when the canister needs to be emptied I found that most of the debris/dust bunnies get stuck and can't get past the filter to get emptied. This results in banging the canister against the garbage can or removing the filter, both of which get dander/dust everywhere and hands dirty. I also found this vacuum hard to push against the pile of the rug. If pushed in the direction the carpet pile lays it glides easily, but I think the strong suction makes it more difficult the opposite way, I have to use both hands. The cord is long so that is helpful, I wish it would have self-rewind since it is long and constantly wrapping it up gets annoying as I have to vacuum daily. It does ok for the price but for me who vacuums everyday it's lacking in convenience.

Have had this for quite some time now and use it for our single large area rug. I also sometimes use the attachment to suck up broom dustings. Great product! Thought that it wasn't working but it turns out that the filter was dirty. Be sure to clear the filter often.
