Lasko Oscillating Pedestal Fan - Lasko Fan with Adjustable Height and 3 Cooling Speeds, Portable, 18", White, 1820

I grow most of our veggies and herbs in our basement and use fans to circulate the air and distribute the heat produced by the lighting. These fans also circulate humidity in the air which helps our 2 running dehumidifier to be more efficient. In addition to increasing airflow, this fan helps to pollinate tomatoes and peppers so I don't have to do it manually. I am a 77 year old woman that assembled this fan in less than 10 minutes. So, I can attest that it is easy to assemble. This is the 4th Lasko oscillating pedestal fan I have bought. I bought the first one 3 1/2 years ago, and it is still working fine. All 4 of these fans are set up on timers and go on when the plant lights go on. Considering the price of these fans, I believe they are a good investment for the time that they last. I very much like that the height of these fans can be adjusted, the speed of the fans have 3 settings (low, medium, and high), and the angle of the air flow can be adjusted. This fan definitely helps to regulate air temperature and humidity in larger rooms. If I need another fan, I would definitely buy this one, and would recommend it for my purpose or for general household airflow. I hope this review was helpful for you.

This Lasko oscillating pedestal fan is an outstanding cooling solution for my home. The three speed settings provide excellent control from gentle breeze to powerful airflow. The oscillation function works smoothly and covers a wide area effectively. I particularly appreciate the adjustable height which lets me customize the fan position for different rooms and situations. The motor is surprisingly quiet even on the highest setting - much quieter than other pedestal fans I've owned. Airflow is strong and moves air throughout large rooms efficiently. Assembly was straightforward and took about 10 minutes. The base is stable and doesn't tip easily even when extended to full height. The fan head tilts to direct air where needed. Build quality feels solid with durable materials that should last for years. The classic white color fits any decor. Controls are simple and intuitive with a rotary knob. Update: This fan is still doing great after a year. No complaints whatsoever. And I feel I have to again address the noise that many reviews mention. This fan simply isn't noisy...unless you find the sound of rushing air noisy, which is what a fan does. As far as the motor or the blades somehow being noisy, they're not. After exhaustive research, I purchased a higher end Rowenta fan for $120. It performed flawlessly and did it quietly, which was important to me. Three years later it stopped working completely for no apparent reason. It just would no longer turn on at all. Unwilling to spend another hundred dollars again only to have a dead fan in 3 years, I researched once more and purchased this Lasko fan for somewhere around $35. Assembly is easy, although I'd prefer if the front cage attached a little more securely. It doesn't fall off, but it also doesn't attach with a satisfying snapped-in-place feeling. There are many reviews on here that mention this fan being loud. I don't find it to be particularly loud...it sounds like a typical fan, and I'm pretty picky when it comes to noise. There's no annoying clicking noise when it oscillates (as some fans tend to do) and yes, it's a little louder than the Rowenta but nothing I would call out of the ordinary. One thing I did was purchase the 4 year extended warranty for $6. I don't normally go for these warranties but if you read through enough reviews of fans, almost every one has issues with suddenly dying for no reason (like my Rowenta did). So for a few extra bucks I'm guaranteed to have a working fan for at least 4 years...and I still paid 1/3 of the price I did for the Rowenta. So far I'm satisfied with this fan. For the price I don't think you can go wrong with it.

I bought the 20 IN. Oscillating pedestal fan, the one with five blades. Very efficient and quiet. It was fairly easy to install and lightweight. I like the idea that it’s lightweight because I can move it around with one hand. I bought a different brand three days ago, paid $100 and I can barely even lift it plus it was horrible trying to put it together. I’m taking it back to Lowe’s. It could literally blow the wig right off someone's head and sounds like a helicopter taking off. You can’t even have a conversation in the room or hear your TV. This Lasko fan is everything you would need for indoor ease and comfort and the price was very reasonable, one half the cost of the other one, no remote, didn’t want one. Perfect buy. Totally recommend it.

I was impressed. Nice wide fan base makes it hard to knock over. Puts out quite a strong wind. Adjustable height. Works great. Great value for the cost, my friend recommended it to me - she got the same one but in black. U won’t be disappointed

Muy facil de armar, en menos de 10 minutos. Tengo un Taurus Silent Power tambien de 18 pulgadas y nada que ver uno con el otro. El Lasko gana por mucho, tira mucho mas aire, muchisimo mas ligero al cargar y se siente hasta mas fresco el aire que tira. El Taurus tira poco aire y es ruidoso, sin contar con lo pesado que es.

Me encanta esta marca de abanicos, solo los de plástico, son muy buenos!

No es tan silencioso, pero si echa muy bien aire. Mejor que otras marcas

Fan was easy to build, mine even came with two little millipedes in the packaging though they were quite dead. The construction, except for the motor, is all plastic. The fan feels very cheap all around but it does the job pretty well. The volume level is reasonable, I wouldn't want it in my TV room but at my computer with headphones on it's fine and even on the lowest setting the airflow is good enough. I did see some other reviewers saying you need to move the fan and its base separate as the pole comes out of the base when picking it up, I did not have that problem and I would guess they just didn't shove the pole into the base far enough. tl;dr: cheap and plastic construction, tad over-priced, does the job well enough, buy on sale and as a warehouse deal if you can.
