Perfect for Henry 22lr
Updated the scope on my Henry H001. Height over bore is approx. 1.625" and I can access the hammer and clear the rear sight. . The V-Plex reticle is perfect for a 22lr. Simple and clean. . The Vortex image is very crisp and clear up to 4x or 5x. The eye box is also very forgiving. Beyond 5x, the clarity starts to diminish and the eye box gets tight and easily lost at 7x. Rather than go dark, the sight picture turns white and foggy. Realistically, you would only use the 7x for zeroing. 4x is just fine for real-world magnified use on a 22lr IMHO. . The controls feel smooth and just the right resistance. The turrets are good, especially being set and forget with a 50-yard zero for optimum point blank range out to 70 yards. . For the price, the Vortex Crossfire II 2-7 for rimfire is excellent value especially with the awesome Vortex VIP warranty and the Made in the Philippines sticker. I can recommend it.

Vortex Crossfire Muzzleloader scope
Theses crossfire scopes are really good quality for the price point , very clear optics, I would say that they are as clear as my Leopold scopes I have on my riffle and shotgun. This scope was mounted on my new CVA Optima, and was very easy to sight in , I highly recommend it.

Vortex Optics Crossfire II Second Focal Plane, 1 - inch Tube Riflescopes
Excellent scope with fixed parallax at 100 yards. Clear lenses, nice, precise radicals. Absolutely worth of buying. How ever it doesn't work for me, reason being, I need it on my break barrel air gun rifle and all my targets are 30 - 50 yards. I'm not returning this Scope, I might need it for other rifle I have.

Very clear glass
Not top of the line, but nowhere near the bottom either. Really good glass quality, will be buying again. I have bought a few of the "sniper" cheap azz scopes, but never again. This is a very good scope for the price. Holds zero very well, eye relief is great once set up. I have a nikon scope about the same price, but is nowhere near the quality of this one.

Right in between 3 and 4 stars.
Let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of Vortex Optics. I ordered this optic to place on one of my Ar builds. For the price it was just what I was looking for to hold me over for a while till the new optic I wanted was released. I also purchased the Nikon p223 mount for this optic. I mounted the optic to my rifle and took it out to the range. I was happy to find that the optic was pretty dang close to being zeroed in at 100 yards. I removed the caps and dialed in to a true center shot . It took me about 7 rounds to find the sweet spot. At 100 yards this optic is great, I used it at the 3x magnification. I then started to try out the BDC reticle and the additional zoom. I will say the BDC did work quite well. The zoom however was not the best. Up to 5x it was still pretty clear and the image was enhanced. It made my 200 yard shots pretty simple. The 6x started to get a little fuzzy around the edges but the center of the optic was still nice and crisp. At 7x the surrounding gets a bit blurry and distorted. The center is a little smaller but still pretty clean. Tho it is a bit harder to get your eye in the right relief zone. For the price this really is a great optic. It holds true after hundreds of rounds and works great for the 100-300 yard shots. Once you start to go above that and are using more magnification it starts to get a little blurry. I think I paid $125 for this optic so I am by no means complaining. In fact it is probably one of the better options at that price. If you are looking for an optic for consistent 100 yard shot groupings using a bench, this optic is great. If you are looking for something you can be a little more tactical with and need quick image acquisition I would say you need to step up to a higher end optic. Tho at this price and with the amazing customer support and warranty from vortex you really can not go wrong with it. I hope this was a helpful review in making your decision !

Awesome budget scope
I like good glass for my rifles. I tend to own a lot of Leupold scopes just because they tend have good glass and not be stupid expensive. With that being said, I live in the Pacific Northwest where it tends to rain once in a while, and it never fails that it will start to rain when you are out hunting. I also hunt predators a lot, so I tend to move stands and be generally rough on optics. So I started looking for something that I could use on my predator AR that would no break the bank, but also last through the abuse. I ended up looking at Vortex for two reasons. They make good products, including good glass and they have a no BS warranty. So when my scope takes the inevitable spill it will be covered. First, this scope comes well packaged, and is very well built and feels good in the hand. looking through it the glass is clear and bright. The 4" sunshade that comes with it matches the coloring of the scope and threads into the objective bell very well. I have this mounted in a Nikon AR style mount, and it mounts well and it positively locked into the mount. Sighting this in was a breeze, fire a test shot at 25yds and then zero it. Move to 50yds and do the same, then move out to 100 and repeat for final 100yd zero. All in all I used 8rds to zero at 100yds. I then wanted to know how well the scope tracked and the return to zero after adjustments. So I did a box drill which was another 12rds. The box drill at 100yds was perfect and the scope tracked back to zero perfectly. I then input all my values into my ballistic calculator and dialed in the drop for my gong at 380yds and was able to hit it first shot. I returned to my 100yd zero and tested again on paper with perfect return to zero. I was satisfied that the turrets tracked well, and returned to zero. I then used a slotted screw driver to reset the turrets to zero. The next test was a soggy coyote hunt. I went out during a nice afternoon and wanted to get into my stand and wait for dusk. About 30min after sitting down the rain started. The scope held up without fogging and without any residual problems. While the lenses were wet, and that tends to make any scope harder to see through, the vortex preformed as expected and allowed me to shoot without any problems. The next test was a night hunt, and how well the scope would gather red light for shooting in the dark. I was very pleasantly surprised that this scope gathered the red light from my shooting light all the way out to 300yds at 14x and 500yds at 4x. I was able to see eye shine out further than that, but was unable to identify the critter. All in all it gathers light well both at night and during the day. I did use a green light one night as well just as a test and the results were about the same, although I was able to make out more detail in the terrain and brush, but that is the nature of green light, it is much easier for the human eye to see... I will be sticking to red just because it tends to not spook coyotes at night. I got the BDC reticle which is nice for hunting purposes and to be able to quickly send a round down range without having to dial a drop. Vortex offers software on their website that is a little on the clunky side to use. But once you figure it out, it allows you to set your variables and then get a range for each of the BDC hashes at different magnifications. I have a range card that I made with each of the magnifications so that I can quickly take a range, look at my card for a close range, set my zoom and fire. It takes almost no time at all, and is way faster than trying to count clicks in the field with gloves on. I have gone to the range and verified these, as well as practicing my system. Generally I am sitting at 14x for anything over 100yds because the drop hashes for my rifle and round at 100/205/307/399/475 so I get almost 100yds per hash, so there is very little fussing around if it is a pretty straight forward shot. That is just the way my ballistics worked out, yours might work out to roughly the same at 12x or 10x, it just depends. So don't take my data as gospel. For being as cheap as it is, this really is a top notch scope. As long as you are not trying to use it for something that it is not designed for like shooting 1500yds with your .338 Lapua Magnum, or for very precise LE type shooting you will be ok. This scope will do very well for you. While I would not hesitate to use this to make a very precise shot with this scope, just use it for the application that it is made for and you will not be disappointed.

The scope was purchased to replace a Walther, used for pest control with a CO2 rifle on private property, my typical working distance is from 15-80mtr. This new Crossfire ii has not been fitted and zeroed yet (purchased rings won't fit the rail), so I am reviewing the general usability and feel, whilst highlighting limitations such as minimum working distance, which is fine for live round rifles, but is more than required by CO2 or air rifles. This scope feels sturdy, The reticle adjustment works to get a crisp view of the reticle and it's illuminated red dot at the reticle centre (not projected to target), this will be welcome as light levels fall, although it is a little less bright than I would have hoped. Elevation & windage adjusters have a light/subtle touch without loud clicks. The image is bright and sharp at distances over 100mtr but lacking an adjustable objective lens or parallax adjustment leads to greater blurring as subject range gets closer, or when using higher magnifications; it may become more usable at close distances by using lowest magnification(3x), although this could lead to eye straining. A similar scope with parallax adjustment would be considerably more expensive, Scopes can be adjusted by service centres to bring the minimum focus nearer "Re-Parallaxing" (probably a turn or two of the objective lens). I'll consider this but it may invalidate warranty, in which case I will return the item unused. This review will be updated after checking if it can be adjusted to bring it within the working range of a CO2 rifle and after test firing. April 2021- Still works well, helps to achieve tight groups and holds it's settings. Focus was brought closer by adjusting the objective lens with a suitable tool.
