Can you pour water into the machine instead of connecting it to the faucet?

I pour water into it to wash and rinse and it works perfectly. The hose is secured to my bath tub for draining. I have had NO problems with this method whatsoever. I love my washer!

Is this washer come with hose that connect to the sink and tap? If I need to get it where do I get it???

Comes with EVERYTHING needed!!! i unpacked, connected and washed my laundry within moments of it arriving at my door!!! best bet... if your kitchen sink has "plastic threads" on the faucet... use it in your bathroom... bathroom faucets normally have metal threads. the plastic ones on my kitchen faucet seemed to "strip" and the hose kept "popping" off. no worries with the bathroom faucet! better than the washers in the laundry mat! I LOVE MINE!!!

Hi Penny, I too did see that in the manual, However, I contacted Haier directly, They informed me that they have manuals and most of them are in "template" format and for them not to "reinvent the manual" they tailor and modify the manual specifically to the appliance. They assured me that the Haier HLP21N Pulsator portable washer is 100% electrical with no need for batteries. They also went on to say that this machine does not keep "memory settings" like in there other models that do. So, in a nutshell, this was a typo left on the manual and rest assured that your washer does not need batteries for any reason. Happy Washing ! George
