Sheer Perfection!
I love light gun games, but after buying Link's Crossbow Training, I must confess I was a little disappointed with the official Wii Zapper shell. Luckily, this little beauty has come to my rescue. So, why is it so great? First of all, this is a serious piece of kit: it's big enough to feel more like an arcade lightgun than your normal weedy home console gun, and with the Wii Remote plugged in, it has a satisfying and well balanced weight to it (once I'd picked it up, I didn't want to put it back down - it just feels very "right"). I'd probably even recommend against buying this for a kid, because I think smaller hands might struggle with the size. Secondly, unlike most of the other cheap and nasty third-party gun shells doing the rounds, the Perfect Shot allows you to plug a nunchuk into the bottom, meaning that you can happily play games like Ghost Squad, Link's Crossbow Training and House of the Dead, which have control layouts based around the Wii Zapper. Finally, the perfect shot outdoes the official Wii Zapper in just about every way possible: the trigger (which presses on the Wii Remote "B" button using a spring loaded mechanism) is tight and responsive, with none of the sponginess or missed shots that the Wii Zapper suffers from; the classic pistol grip means less of the achey arm syndrome caused by the "tommy gun" set up of the Wii Zapper and plugging a nunchuk into the bottom of the gun shell means you don't need to do any of the winding up and hiding cables that can make using the Wii Zapper quite annoying. My only (very minor) gripe is that plugging your remote into the shell isn't quite the "slide-and-go" affair that the instructions would have you believe - parents, you might wanna help the little ones to avoid them breaking anything. That's not to say it's hard to install your remote, just a little more fiddly than I expected... I'm really nit-picking at this point. All in all, I'd say this is a must-have for anyone who loves light-gun games, or who's looking for a second light-gun shell for two player fun. Seriously, this is one of the best purchases I've made for my Wii.

Decent gun shell
This is a pretty decent gun shell for the Wiimote, I particularly like the pass through socket for the Nunchuck. The gun feels solid, and works well with games like House of the Dead:Overkill. However, I have to say I prefer the Official House of the Dead Overkill Hand Cannon (Wii) . The Hand Cannon, is heavier and the trigger feels better to me. Because of this, I'll only rate the Nyko 4 stars, the Hand Cannon gets 5. This may be a better purchase if you have smaller hands however!

Arcade thrills at home
I've wanted this item after seeing it featured on IGN many months ago, and have looked everywhere since, then it turned up here on Amazon! It is a seriously sturdy piece of kit, perfect for anyone looking to replicate the light gun arcade games in their home. What this gun offers over just using the remote alone is twofold; firstly, the shape. It's a gun. The trigger is where it should be and feels very robust, with a spring mechanism to reduce failed shots. secondly, it has a target sight behind the "barrel". What this means is that it can be calibrated on certain games to act just like a light gun, meaning you have to aim the gun rather than just move a cursor around on the screen until it goes where you need it to. On games like "House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return" you can calibrate the aim, and then turn off the on-screen cursor, so the only way to shoot is to aim down the barrel old school style, and it works perfectly. The best peripheral on the market for on-rails shooters.

Does the job - but not brilliant
First off, the gun I received was a silver version - not the white/blue as seen in the product image. I have no idea if this is just a colour thing, or whether this means there are differences between them. What I like: - Sturdy enough - A gun controller is a must for games like House of the Dead, and this works - Feels fine in the hand (although slightly heavy for kids) What I don't like - Not sure if it's a Wii or gun problem, but the targeting does not line up with the physical sight on the gun, despite attempts at recalibration. This means you need to watch the crosshair on the screen pretty closely, or your aim will be off - Pretty fiddly to actually fit the wiimote in there, and a very snug fit when you do - so a shiny wii remote comes out with a few marks from the gun casing Overall, decent price and does the job - no regrets purchasing. I feel like there must be better models out there, though.

The gun is not shooting very accurately.....

Broke instantly
The nunchuck plug inside the gun broke as soon as I plugged the main controller into it. Useless.

Sin duda el mejor accesorio compacto de Shooter para la Wii. El producto llegó en excelentes condiciones, sin falla alguna.

Product arrived as expected. It's in good condition and works. Though nothing compares to the original NES Zapper.

I bought the Perfect Shot two years ago, the gun is excellent. I have played with it House of the Dead 2/3, and the multiple games of the Call of Duty series. The Wii remote fits perfectly inside the gun, of course, you need to remove the jacket and the wrist strap from the remote to insert it. Some people complain about having to remove the wrist strap and the gun doesn't have any where to put it on...I guess if you are a "dropper" this really is an issue (you must figure something out to avoid this gun from hitting the floor). You are able to connect the Nunchuck for the games that need it, fast and without any problems. When you play with the Nunchuck attached, I think is very comfortable that you can hold it with one hand and with the other hand you hold the gun, unlike the Wii Zapper which I think its design is very uncomfortable, especially with games that require the Nunchuck. During game play I haven't had any problems, I've read some reviews complaining that there is some sort of lag from the time you pull the trigger to the time that it actually fires on the screen...(?). I haven't experienced this...for those who have played House of the Dead; you know that you have to shoot a lot and FAST! So I've never felt any lag with my shooting in any game at any time. The trigger system in the Perfect Shot is very simple: the moment you pull the trigger it moves a lever up that presses the "B" button, and this happens instantly. Some people also complain about not having comfortable access to the buttons on the Wii remote, especially when playing any of the Call of Duty games (some would like to have access to this buttons with more triggers or something). In this games there is a preset button/gesture configuration for the Wii Zapper which works perfectly with the Perfect Shot (NOTE: when you need to use the knife or melee in COD the command is "move the Wii Zapper forward", when using the Perfect Shot, you need to shake only the Nunchuck). During game play of any of the COD games, on the Wii remote, you will need occasionally to use the C-Pad...a few times the + and - buttons...never the "A" button, and, of course, the home, 1 and 2 buttons to pause the game and access menus. So, I don't think there is a gun in the market that can press all these buttons (except for the "A" button, which in this case is useless). You need a little practice to get comfortable pressing this buttons, but eventually you will do it naturally. The only downside of this gun is that the little orange hoop that holds the top of the Wii remote in place has two tiny plastic pins (that lets the hoop pivot) that are very fragile. If you drop the gun, or it falls in the hands of little children (like my two-year-old son) those plastic pins are most likely to break. Anyway, this is a great accessory and I totally recommend it! Hope this review helps!
