Works well
Been installed for a month now and all works as it should, bought to replace a failed unit, so straight swap really, seems to use less salt than the previous model I had , could do with some sort of countdown timer for the next Regen Overall pleased with everything

Works well, but don't buy the special hoses!
Easy enough to install. I didn't use their supplied diverter valve as I already had plumbing from a previous old softener which died. However I made the mistake of believing the instructions when it said buy the max flow hoses for combi boilers. These hoses are about £40 (not available on Amazon), but are so short and inflexible that I couldn't use them. I installed with the standard supplied hoses and it is absolutely fine, with little discernible pressure difference from the bypassed softener. Nice to have soft water again

Easy to install
Had one before, stopped working after 5 years. Purchased this one and it fitted no trouble. My husband likes this make. Seems to work well, what else can I say…..good.

A great watersoftener.
Prompt delivery through DHL. Easy to unpack and install. The water hardness testing kit (included in the packaging) is very easy to use and to calibrate the watersoftener. The difference in the water quality is perceptible. I tested the water for hardness after a couple of days (using the same kit) and it was completely soft. Negatives: 1. The salt holding chamber is relatively small and holds less that half a standard 25-kg bag of tablet salt. 2. The ‘salt-refill’ alarm is super sensitive and will get triggered even when there is enough salt in the chamber. It’s a continuous beeping (and annoying) alarm. I had to call Monarch customers service (who were very helpful) and they took me through the steps to disable it. I’ve had it for 3-months now. So far so good.

Brilliant kit
Fantastic piece of kit. Zero water marks or lime on shower glass, taps etc. Water is so soft. Now the water that goes through the boiler for the hot water is soft so no build up of scale. The bit of pipe to the right of unit is spare

Great value
It’s the best thing I’ve installed, makes cleaning the taps far easier with less limescale build up. Great for the skin too.

Diarrhea on the way
This water is giving the whole household diarrhea. I appreciate they said the water is drinkable but it's not what I want. I should have gone for a reverse osmosis system directly. Water Softerner such as this one are exchanging ions and it has too much sodium and not enough of the other minerals. In other words it can make you sick! Avoid at all costs!
