MÜHLE Chrome Stand for Traditional Series Safety Razors (RHMSR)

If you are reading this review, then the chances are you either own or are considering owning a Muhle Razor. If you are the type of person that owns or is considering owning a Muhle razor, then you most definitely are the type of person that needs this stand! Relatively expensive for its size, but beautifully made and looks stunning with the razor......!

Rather annoyingly, this stand cost me the same as what I paid for the MÜHLE R41, the razor it's designed to hold. Having said that, the dimensions of the MÜHLE R41's handle mean that it simply does not fit into many of the generic razor stands available. So rather than leave the razor, on the sink counter, I bought the stand. The stand is very well made, has a nice heft to it and it is easy to store and retrieve the razor without any fumbling. At first glance, as you can see from my photo, it seems to be upside down compared to the Rockwell 6S in its stand and many other stands which have the head at the top. However, this arrangement means you're picking up the razor using the handle and not the end with the blade in it. So it does actually make sense.

Make no mistake, this is a lot of money for such a small item. But the quality shines through, and it is a pleasure to own such a precision piece of kit. I did check with the vendor first, and on arrival my Merkur 34C razor fitted a treat. So, why this type of stand? Well it keeps the centre of gravity low and is therefore less likely to tip over or fall from a height, which would potentially damage the razor. Overall, a lovely item, with pride in ownership, but it'll cost you.

I bought this stand for my fiancées birthday. I think this product was a little over priced but it is heavy duty and good quality. The double edge safety razor my fiancée has is a non-branded one but it fits the stand fine. My partner really likes it and prefers it to the cup he was using and it looks a lot better too, I like it as it has transformed his shaving corner into a nice display for the bathroom. I have given this product a 4 out of 5 because of the price, it was the best looking one I found and is great quality, but I think you mainly pay for the brand.

This is very expensive but it is pure luxury. I knew if I liked it I would only ever need to buy it once so I splurged and it gives me pleasure every time I look at it. Very well made, excellent quality and very stylish.

Good heavy weight solid stand. Provides a good home for my Muhle 89 and allows me to open the head up by loosening the screw to drain after shaving.

I bought this for my dad for Christmas, its tiny but looks nice to store a razor in. He is very impressed with the quality and appearance.

I got this for my Wilkinson Sword Classic Double Edge razor and it works very well. Nice and heavy so it feels stable. I am a bit unsure about the material used for the non-slip pad - it feels like a kind of suede and I wonder how well it will stand up to the damp conditions of a bathroom. But so far so good!

Es más pequeño de lo que esperaba y resulta que “cuelga” el rastrillo de cabeza. Funciona a la perfección pero si debo aceptar que lo imaginaba bas grande o al menos más alto.

Não é barato, sem dúvida! Mas é uma peça lindíssima. A minha mulher achou-a linda e elegante. Tinha 2 pedestais em aço inox da Störtebekker® que tive de devolver pois só cabia a Edwin Jagger DE89 mas não a Mühle R41 . E se comparar o preço, este suporte lindíssimo - e mais prático da Mühle - custa mais 8 euros que o pedestal da Störtebekker®. Com este, consigo arrumar as duas máquinas de barbear de forma muito simples e intuitiva. É cara sim, ou relativamente cara, mas o design também se paga, a qualidade também e o look do suporte também. Mais pequeno do que se imagina. Estou muito satisfeito
