Top iron
Great Iron I’ve just got my second version of it The weight is heavy but it needs to be as it really help get creases out unlike light weight trendy irons Cautionary tale my last one just decided to stop working after 2 1/2 years not sure why???? Electrical??? Keep cleaning as per instructions otherwise it can leave marks but best iron by a country mile

Perfect for hard water areas
This iron is excellent! I've had it 6 months and apart from once adding water when the steam switch wasn't off which then mate it leak, it's been absolutely top notch. It smoothes the creases in my crinkliest shirts with ease. The best thing about this iron is the limescale filter! My last (Morphy Richards) iron had so much limescale and rust coming out of was ruining my clothes. I live in a hard water area and use 50/50 tap and deionised water as per the manual clean the scale out every month or so and use an old toothbrush to get right in to clear it out. The long power lead is a bonus too. One downside is the trigger for the turbo boost is too prominent on the handle so you have to learn not put pressure on your index finger. Thanks :)

Really nice but heavy
Having searched for lightweight irons this came up and I was immediately attracted as it had all the features I wanted including a 3m cord, continuous steam and self-cleaning feature. However, I found it really heavy just getting it out of the box so I decided that I would return it as there was no way I could use it. I should just state that I have wrist problems so this may not be a problem for others who like a heavier iron.

Tefal non stick iron.
I haven’t used my new iron yet but it is set up and ready to go! It is very sturdy (a little heavy) but I can deal with that. All the features seem straightforward and it has a large water tank. The great thing is it is non stick which is a blessing as I have destroyed quite a few sole plates in my time! Thought I’d treat myself and I’m sure it’s well worth the money, can’t wait to use and once the rain stops I’ll be testing it out. Many thanks for prompt delivery too 😊😊

Constant leakage and staining of clothes.
Within 2 weeks of using this iron I had noticed it was staining my clothes particularly when using the steam boost button so I have stopped using this. You have to let the iron stand for a lot longer than when the light goes out otherwise it will dump water on your clothes when you start to iron. During normal use it does occasionally dump clean water which does evaporate. I bought this after owning another Tefal which lasted a good 6 years without any issues, well until it stopped working! I picked a high priced iron assuming it will be of even better quality and I stuck with Tefal since I had never experienced issues. To be clear, I have ALWAYS used straight tap water in my irons for the past 20 years. After 8 weeks of perseverance and throwing work shirts straight back in the laundry basket I decided to get in touch with Tefal Customer Service and I was deeply disappointed by their answers. This iron in particular boasts a calc filter, something I havent had before. With the first issues of staining clothes, I pulled this out to inspect (even though the calc clean light hadnt come on) it had a few deposits but nothing much. I have extracted these responses from Tefals email: "We only recommend that untreated tap water be used in all of our generators. ; if you know you live in a hard water area the untreated tap water can be mixed 50/50 with either distilled or demineralised water but there needs to be at least a 50% concentration of untreated tap water used. Do not use pure demineralised water, de-ionised water or rain water as these may damage the iron. These types of water contain organic waste, mineral elements that become concentrated when heated and cause spitting, brown staining, leaking or premature wear on your generator. The boiler must be rinsed out after every 10 uses or more frequently if your water is very hard. An iron can act a bit like a vacuum cleaner on clothes and suck up soap deposits from fabric. It's essential therefore that clothes are thoroughly rinsed before ironing. If these are not removed by washing they may appear later out of the soleplate in the form of small brown or white spots or streaks on your linen. Please see the video below on how to descale your iron .You need to descale your iron every after 10 uses" Had all these points been made clear at purchase I think a lot of people would be put off. I did respond and tell them that in over 20 years I had never had to conduct timely maintenance on my iron every 10 uses. This is ridiculous. Tefal responded with: Do not hesitate to let us know if you carried out the above procedure and still experience the fault so we can arrange for a collection and repair. Pictures attached. The ironing board showing weeks of dried deposits. Dont waste your money, there is no advanced technology in these expensive irons. Thoroughly disappointed !!

Lovely iron
Very nice iron. Lovely long cable. Easy to use. Can see water in tank easily when filling. Do most of my laundry on just one steam setting so brilliant.

Lovely iron
I decided to invest in this iron as the last (much cheaper) iron I bought only lasted 15 months. I don't do a tremendous amount of ironing but I do a lot of sewing so the iron does get switched on and off a lot. This is a lovely looking (purple!) substantial iron and on the small bit of ironing I have done it worked well and I especially liked the steam boost feature. My only criticism is that it is quite heavy but I am sure I will get used to this!

Great iron
I bought this after my Tefal steam generator iron which I have used and loved for 10 years. The new tefal generators do not have temperature control anymore and you can not rest some on its back. I don’t know why they change good things . There are few ones ( SV6140 or SV6131) that that have temperature control but they have the worst reviews. Therefore I decided to go with this one because prefer to control temperature. Very happy. It irons just like my ex steam generator iron or maybe better. The only con is it is heavy. It is about 400- 500 gr heavier than a regular iron ın the market.
