great watercolor paper
It has 2 different types of watercolor paper, cold pressed and heat pressed. One has more texture and the other has less, but still quality paper. I was wanting the paper loose, not in a pad, but the glue was easy enough to push up and off the pages toward the spine, after removing the front cover, and then the pages tore out nicely. Got this for my 3 1/2 year old grandson to put in our rainy day box but am pretty sure it would be quality enough for watercolors at any age and any level.

Very Nice Paper at a Cheap Price
This paper is surprisingly thick and wonderfully textured considering the price. I expected a Crayola brand type "watercolor paper" when I bought this (for my daughter). But after using it myself, I stole it from my daughter and gave her a different watercolor pad that I'd bought at a local art store that was less quality (but about the same price!) This paper is not art quality. You wouldn't want to hang it in a gallery. But for the home watercolorist it's fantastic paper. It's not Strathmore quality but, then again, it's not Strathmore cost either! The paper warps once wet but only the most expensive papers don't warp to some degree after having been repeatedly washed with water. Perfect paper for practicing or for the "home gallery."

Good Buy
As a beginner, this watercolor paper works great for me. It was inexpensive and there are a lot more sheets than the expensive paper. I need to practice and this paper allows me to do that at reasonable cost. I am not framing anything that I paint at this stage. This gets a thumbs up from me!

Seems flimsy
I bought this pad for my 8 year old budding artist. At the same time I bought a different pad of equal weight watercolor paper. The other one seems more substantial and has a rough side for water color. This is just fine for a child but I wouldn't get it for anyone else.

Okay Paper for Kid's Practice.
Not as thick as other paper I have seen. This is a 90lb paper, and most other watercolor papers are 140lb. The paper curls when painted on. I bought this for my daughter as a way to help her be creative and artistic. For that purpose, it is great. That is why I gave it 4 stars. For practice this paper will work. For something nice, buy something else.

One Star
Not the quality I am looking for in a paper.

I don't like these so well
I don't like these so well. The watercolors react differently to this pad type paper over the media I had been using. I doubt I will buy again.

great paper
My 8yro daughter has gone nuts for watercolor pencils. I picked up this paper and then copied some of her fav pictures on to it, now she watercolors on them, over and over....she will color the same pic 5 diff ways sometimes! So much fun. They worked perfectly in the copier at work through the thick paper feed.
