My feet are dry & peeling! my derm prescribed a cream w urea but not covered by my insurance. anyone have success w this product stopping peeling??

I used a prescription strength cream with 40% urea and it healed my cracked heels within 2 weeks (I am diabetic so 2 weeks is great turnaround time. My podiatrist explained the urea pulls moisture to the surface enabling the skin to heal faster.

is this tested on animals?

No and this was also found after some research Urea, sometimes referred to as carbamide, is produced in mammalian systems when proteins are broken down. It is excreted in the urine of mammals. The Urea found in cosmetics and personal care products is synthetic and not animal derived.

I have keratosis (little red bumps) on my upper arms. can i use this for keratosis? i have been using 20% as per derm but need more strength

Yes! My daughter is 11 and has keratosis, we’ve tried 20% (rough and bumpy lotion) and that seems to help for daily use, but if you forget to put it on daily, 40 is needed. After she uses it once, we are noticeable results, the redness is gone, just bumps. And as she continues to use it, the bumps go away as well. It’s a miracle cream!

Can this be used on children?

I don't know about children. I would check with a dermatologist. My dermatologist said allstrengths over 40% have the same effectiveness. My dermatologist prescribed 40% to treat an area of thickened skin on my toe, but he said the over the counter stuff from Amazon (PurSource)would work the same. The urea creates a catalytic process that breaks down dead skin. I wouldn't use on my children unless cleared by a dermatologist.
