These are out of production as so will be the life of my Ion 100v equipment that still works good. Started with two batteries when I got the snow blower. 1 batt is not working well other is still good. Now I'm back to two batteries with the cost of these things making it my last one I'll buy. Then I'll throw out my pole saw, leaf blower, and snow blower. Don't feel so smart now about battery powered tools all be it they are handy. Like others have written, I too was skeptical when I saw this listing for the 100v battery. I have had the 100v snowblower and the lawnmower for several years. The battery still works, but runs out after about 20 minutes. I wanted a second battery, but was told they were discontinued. I decided to take an expensive chance and order this one, as I have always had good experiences with Amazon backing up my purchases. I got the battery yesterday and it looked new and was fully charged. We had snow over night and I just used my snow blower with the new battery for about 30 minutes. The battery was still more than half charged. I’m glad I took the chance. I’ll edit my review if there are any future problems.

As advertised

The 5 amp battery is twice as heavy as the 2.5, which might be intuitive but worth mentioning. You get twice the run time though. Depending on the application I find I use the 5 amp for projects away from my shop where my battery supply is not easily accessible. When close to the shop, I prefer to use two 2.5 amp batteries and just switch them out as they drain. This is especially true the chainsaw and weed eater. Either way, this is a powerful system that runs as good as gas powered equivalents with none of the noise or fumes.

The battery will last 30 minutes as long as you use the snow blower on minimum, it takes over an hour to charge completely. Overall I am satisfied with the product.

Gave plenty of power and duration to snowjoe

The idea of the system is great and worked well at first. I have the mower, snowblower, leaf blower and just purchased the trimmer. But the 6month old battery stopped working and Sun Joe customer service is terrible! Going on 3 weeks of trying to get the replacement that they said they were sending on June 30. Every time I contact them, they say they will escalate it- but nothing is ever done.
