I installed it to protect my garage opener motor from surges since I have experienced damage from outages. It shows a green light but have not experienced any damage

Looks and works great

I used these in an outdoor box to power some gate chargers and cameras/lights. They told me the polarity was reversed which I oddly didn't know but it's a long story so it's a nice feature to have. They fit a standard box and seem pretty well made with easy to use terminals.

This with perfectly into a media cabinet with a single gang outlet. You need to make sure you tape around the outlet with electrical tape if you use a metal outlet box. The fit is very tight and this will prevent any accidental arching.

The only PITA is…when you’re attaching wires to the screws and inserting another wire or wires into back of the outlet (on same side) it would be nice if it were easier to do this.

Really a 4.5 because of the status lights. Unlike other products I’ve purchased over the years, this outlet has a light for NOT GROUNDED and one for (successfully) PROTECTED. If wired correctly, one light is always out causing people to think there is a problem when there is not. IMHO both lights should be on for GROUNDED and PROTECTED.

It seems ok but who designed those screws to install it? No blade screwdriver fits it and no phillips fits it without tear out. Spend 1 cent more and use decent screws.
