This book is so accessible, and well written, that even someone without any Vastu knowledge can comprehend. Well illustrated. Practical advice over theory. No, this is not Feng Shui where you can easily mitigate the ill effects of a misplaced construction/ floor plan. When we asked a few Vastu consultants about the house we were living in (job loss, money loss), all said: better sell the house. Or at least, for now, cut the branches off the tree whose shadow falls on the house. We did, and the very next day my husband got an interview set up, which followed with an offer. And the reason we bought the book is that it is better to be informed about what we are doing next in terms of the house. We cannot afford more mistakes. Certainly Michael Borden speaks with authority and has the knowledge.

This is the perfect book to apply Vastu in our American culture. I do wish there were more examples. UPDATE This book is wonderful to read, inspiring our dreams of the future, and detailed in almost every way possible. However we have found something even better, Michael Borden himself. Since buying this book, we have purchased a perfect six acre lot with the largest lake in Idaho to our NE, just where Vastu would like it to be. We have engaged Michael as our architect ... and we are not easy clients! While waiting for our current home to sell, we have worked with Michael to design the home of our dreams. We keep learning, keep growing, and cannot wait to build. Hopefully there will be updates soon. Read the book, explore his website, and let the past thousands of years inspire your future.

We are NOT architects. We are having a house built and want it to comply with Vastu principles as much as possible. This book is wonderful! Michael Borden is generous with information in his book and his website. The book is easy to read. My back ground is with Feng Shui. This book helped me understand why we would want to build a home according to Vastu. It is cumbersome to maintain to the principles, to the extent that our design does, we are sure it will be worth it. We are very grateful for this book and for Michael Borden and his generosity! We are very excited about our new home!

Michael Borden explains clearly what Vastu Architecture is. The graphics are excellent as is the step by step approach to to develop the mandala. On the subject this is the clearest and most concise book on the market. It will get any designer or construction professional the essential information. This book in its current format is about Sacred Geometry in Hinduism and is an excellent source book. However this book is the Hindu Religion in disguise. The science is Hinduism and space plan is a sacrament of this religion, like a mantra. First as a devoted Christian, a Lover of Jesus Christ, who is the Lover of Mankind, the very essence of all things created and uncreated. I was excepting that the book would go more into the true science of the earth's cosmic forces by place according to GPS coordinates and the space quantum mechanics and physics. Jesus who is way the Truth and The Life, no one can go to the Father Except through him; we are free from any predestination Karma or Star Influence. This is astrology presented in this books is Idolatry. We worship the Creator not the created. Mother Earth is the creation and not the Creator. Please provide case studies of true science in the double blind format per location then we can come to a point where this not idolatry. I wish there was a forum to discuss this topic.

If you want to really understand what are the real foundations of Vastu you need to read this book. Designers and architects will learn how to set properly a plan for a new Vastu house. Important to note: in this book you will find only the Vastu rules of the old scriptures and tradition, not newage theories.... The section on corrections is also illuminating.
