Otherwise, you might be “shocked” to find out that pin-out is different even though it fits any rework station that uses a circular 8-pin female jack on it’s connection panel. After some disassembly and continuity checks with a schematic of a heatgun that was compatible with my station, I figured out that the sensor+- wires were switched and the fan +- were also. And the color/wire ID scheme was different too. And because the adapter is one solid piece of injected molded “plastic” it is almost certainly unusable after dissembling. Sooo, yeah, a pin-out diagram would be great in the set of pictures of on desertcart if you (the seller) are trying to make sales based on the product actually being usable. If it’s just sales by whatever means, including purchases that go straight into the trash because of incompatibility, by all means, ignore this review. And of course I figured all this out right after the cut-off date of return. Perfect! P.S. I did finally get it rewired and working, it is an okay gun, it gets hot, it has the reed-switch shutoff. Handle doesn’t overheat, temp is always several degrees above or below (depending on usage) from what my IR laser thermometer quotes, which is to be expected for what it is. 2 stars because of the compatibility problem.
