Ella Sets Sail

Couldn't agree more with the other 2 star review. Ella makes bad choices in this book (she takes a boat without permission and sails alone) and there's very little emphasis on this being a problem. I like the other Ella books but do not like this one.

Love this series. Prefer the storyline of Ella Takes the Cake but very cute book for my toddler.

This book is the latest 'Ella' book, which I purchased for my daughter Ella who has all the 'Ella' books so far. The first books we have read over and over. This one she has asked to read only twice. Although the story is nice, we're not big believers in "luck," which is the strong emphasis of this book. Ella must rely on tremendous amounts of "luck" in this story as she disregards authority and her own safety to set sail in a storm after her lost hat. I believe this book is teetering on the edge of over-glorifying Ella's impetuous,naive behavior. I realize it is just a story, but my young daughter looks at Ella as a heroine, especially because they share a name.

Bought this book for my little girl named Ella. Very cute. Disney is now coming out with a show based on the books. Will buy the whole set.

The Ella series has great adventures. My girls loved to read these books. The illustrations are fun and you can't help but love the little elephant.

Great story and very colorful. Love all the Ella the Elephant books....(as my daughter's name is Ella). Would recommend adding this book to your collection!
