Good value and prints well
Bought this as it was available same day through prime, wasn't sure how it would print but it was cheap and I decided to give it a go, well I was pleasantly surprised, it prints really well, although I do get a slight discolouration where it adheres to the bed, the black finish does vary slightly between dull and shiny. The filament prints well between 200 and 210 and bed temp is set initially at 60 dropping to 55 after the first few layers, I'm using a creality mag bed on my ender 3 now and adhesion is excellent. I have tried a few filaments but keep coming back to this one as my every day use, I'm so impressed with it that this is my third role of black and I have also used the red which is also excellent and the colour is really rich, I cannot recommend this enough performance is excellent especially when you factor in price. PRINTER:- Creality Ender 3 with Creality Mag Bed FILAMENT:- Basicfil 1.75mm PLA EXTRUDER TEMP:-200 to 210 BED TEMP :- 60 dropping to 55 COOLING:- Smoothfang v2 set to 0 for first 2 layers then 25% increasing to 75% Happy printing

Serviceable, cheap but not a strong choice.
Can produce good prints but my spools since getting it has been nothing but trouble as you can see from the pictures this has been hit and miss the larger print has missed layers thanks to the roll getting tangled up and most other rolls I have had in the past stop aggressively coiling after 25% this one didn't meaning that if it slips off the roll it can get snagged easily. Adhesion is fine overall but it's again the only filiment I have had issues with sticking to the bed. Get what you pay for same issues with the brands Abs.

Raise your temps and it's fine
Good value if you just want a smaller quantity than a 1KG roll. Print temps are advertised as the usual 185 up to 215, on my ender 3 pro I print 205 for pla, which has worked brilliantly for AMAZ3D pla. However this fillament benefits from a higher temp, at 205 I had difficulty with adhesion. I tried at various temps, up to 235 which printed the blue angle you see in my pics. In the end I used 215 with a 60 bed, and that's what I've printed the orange parts for that goose in the pics. Prints have a small amount more stringing and generally are as good as with other pla, however for a little bit of colour they work well just up your temps! Also bear in mind the creality machines are cheap and are likely not as high a temp as displayed so don't be afraid to go a little higher than you're used to with PLA. For reference I purchase the blue and orange out of my own money, if you're looking for something reliable to print a lot with just treat yourself to a better roll, however if like me you want small colour parts but don't want a 1KG roll then I recommend it with a high enough temp.

Top quality for the price
Bought a 500g roll of yellow to test print quality. I have read most of the reviews here, especially the negative ones, and on an Ender 5 plus with all metal hotend, this prints perfectly, at 205-210 degrees, with an initial bed temperature of 60 degrees, which I add gcode to turn off at 5mm height to save electric (using 3djake adhesive spray) and the results have been very good and strong. I'll definately be buying again for prototyping, as at currently 8 pounds for 500g, it's cheap as chips.

Draft printing Viable
I am impatient when it comes to 3 printing, especially when doing iterative design and functional prints. my approach focuses purely on getting the part off the print bed as fast as possible. In this regard, the Basicfil Grey PLA is a good filament for rapid draft printing The benchy may have imperfections, but I believe this is more to do with the printer parameters than the filament itself. The shade of grey is certainly the darkest I have printed when compared againt Geetech and Anycubic greys. Bare this in mind when printing. The filament is practically the same shade as Cuprinol's "Silver Copse" fence paint for reference. The spool comes with a handy desiccant pack which can be stored inside one of the side holes during printing. The spool could be improved with additional anti-tangle holes. Happy to support a European manufacturer Ender3 Pro Nozzle: 215 Bed: 60 Print time: 48min

What do you expect?
We both know why you're here, you just spent a heap of money on a printer and you're looking at filament now and its pretty expensive, sure why would you need 1kg of green what are ye printing like. So we are both here, 9 quid for 500g doesn't seem bad, the reviews are pretty good? F- it why not. Pros: Its cheap Once you get it to work it is actually decent Cons: Getting it to work is a pain in the ass and tbh it doesn't really work all the time either. Adhesion was my first problem fix: print initial layer at 230 nozzle and 65 for bed (thanks to a comment here) any other attempt was terrible. Clogging was my next problem fix: idk it still happens and it just seems to happen when you least expect it Adhesion was my third problem as it was actually too good once i switch to a glass bed fix: bit of pritt stick and some brute force tldr: buy it and then when you have problems come back here someone else has had them and has fixed them just read through the comments.

Very cheap but prints really nicely
I didn't expect great things for this and have mostly used it for scratch filamant for trying ideas before printing in a pricier filament, but I'm getting really good results with this and will likely have some more of this. It's particularly economical in the 500g rolls for colours you don't plan on using that much.

Impressive!!
Before purchasing this filament i read alot of negative comments, but i am really impressed that i had no problem at all with filament. There are no tangles, adhesion is perfect and also print quality is good. I will recommend to give it a try and make sure your printing settings are correct. I will buy it again for sure.
