If the seat post or tube are plastic then it should work well, but if they are both metal then it would be better to use a mineral oil like 3 in 1 or cycle oil.

Can you use this on a chrome curtain pole? To make curtains slide easier?

Hi, Yes it should help. Spray onto a cloth and carefully wipe along the pole. It does wash out of fabrics easily with detergent/soap but best to avoid getting on the curtains themselves.

Standard operating temperature range is -30 to >130 degrees C But in more detail Mjolnir Pure Silicone Oil will last almost indefinitely (years) at temperatures up to 150 degrees C and for shorter periods (hours) no noticeable degradation is seen up to 200 degrees.
