Rolex ?
Rolex was not a factor in my choosing this watch. I literally looked at hundreds of watches prior to this purchase. I wanted reliability, automatic movement (tired of batteries), sporty/casual styling, a good solid bracelet style band & I wanted it all for under $200. After looking at all of the watches, I began to realize that almost all of the manufacturers were using Japanese movements. I even tried the so called American watch companies like Bulova. In my price point, they were all Japanese movements. So, why am I going to buy an American name & not get an American made watch? I'm not buying a name; I'm buying a watch. I finally ran across the Invicta watches & discovered they had what I was looking for in some very attractive styles & pricing. I won't go into all of the different movements & beats per hour because all that has been covered in other reviews. What I will tell you is that you can pay a lot more (3X) for exactly the same thing, but sold by a more prestigious name plate. In fact, if you want a Swiss movement you will pay even more. There is nothing wrong with Japanese movements. In fact they are quite good & accurate. I have Seiko & Citizens etc. After comparing the Invicta 9937OB to what was being offered by the competition, I couldn't turn it down. It was a little more than my original price goal, but I now know it was worth it. The pictures I found on line do not do the watch justice. In person you really see how nice this watch really is. It is substantial, both in weight & size. It is a mid size watch (43mm?) & does not look like an anchor on your wrist. It has good weight & does not feel or look cheap. The bracelet is SS & could easily be used to hold a much larger watch. It has a terrific fold over safety clasp. The bracelet style bands usually pull the hair off of my arm, but not this one. It is smooth & well finished. I had to adjust mine & found it a simple task to remove the link using the SE 7pc Watch Spring Bar Tool that I bought here on Amazon. It honestly took 5 minutes or less. Accuracy is right on the money. I set the date & time the day I received it & it has been as accurate as any quartz clock I have in the house. It even keeps time with the clock on my iPhone. I am very pleased with the Swiss Automatic SW200 movement. One tip, though, is to wind the watch 20-25 times before you start wearing it. After that your arm motion will keep it wound sufficiently to keep proper time. I guess I could go on & on about how it looks like a Rolex Submariner & all that nonsense, but I bought this watch because of the way IT looks & the features that IT offers. For the money I was not able to find anything comparable.

Best value I found in Swiss movement watches, and my favorite style.
I had a Rolex Submariner, James Bond model, 1954, for awhile. I liked the small size, accuracy, but didn't really like carrying 25-50 grand in plain site. Or, to be more accurate, was concerned about it, since I work with a variety of criminals, from murder to drugs. I had a number of other watches, of poor quality, and wanted one or two with excellent movements, style, and I liked the Submariner look. Invicta's 9937 is a bit larger then the watch it pays homage to, but, it's a beautiful watch, and very well built. It has a swiss movement, but is not made in the country. This means it doesn't get the strict examination and standards of the Swiss, but, you don't get the cost, or upkeep cost, either. Others have mentioned this watch costs less then the service required on a Tag Hauer. My concern is was I going to be lucky, and get a watch that was well made, and accurate? Invicta's service is horrible, according to most reviewers,so plan on using a local watch maker for service. I've had the watch for two weeks, and it's accurate to a minute with my computer. I just set it to the second, so I'll check back later. I find that a automatic watch that is under a minute after two weeks is plenty accurate enough for me. Some say this watch comes with crystal, some say Fusion. It's very bright, and so far has not scratched. The generic, non-specific documentation is a bit of an insult to the quality of this watch. Did find out it needs to sit in sunlight for 4-5 hours for the luminescent stuff on the dial to work at night. You get a one year warranty, and 28 dollar handling charge if you use it. You ship only the watch, if you have a custom band. They recommend a yearly inspection of the gaskets, to make sure it's waterproof, by a watch maker. That kind of kills the buzz I have from having a watch that doesn't need to have a battery changed yearly. I have a Seiko Pogue that was still intact, with no service, after 43 years. That's pretty amazing. The problem is this watch is, at least from the movement, in a different category from most of Invicta's watches, and the instruction manual is designed as a one size fits all. Kind of reminds me of buying a Nissan GT-R Nismo and getting a manual designed for a Versa... I had hoped to get a watch that worked out of the box, and if it didn't, was going to send it back to Amazon. I got an excellent, beautiful, functional watch for a great price. Pricing on this watch is strange. I paid 252.00, so far lowest. Now it's up to 319.00, and claims a retail price of 1295.00?

First off let me say that this is a fantastic watch, it keeps time so well I am impressed!! I had only heard about Invicta from the odd website and always saying negative things about the brand, but I will tell you I only have great things to say about the brand. This watch cost about 4 big ones, but well woth it, the swiss movement is excellent, and it has weight that you will get use to in a day or 2 then won't realize your even wearing it. It came in the butter box as I call it lol yes the yellow one but I don't mind its a nice box. The watch was all sealed in plastic the face and back as well, and it is shiny a clean sporty dressy watch, it is identicle to the submariner a very well done homage only the name is how you could tell its not one of the big boys. The second hand is very smooth and keeps working gor about 40 hours if not worn, it does turn heads thats for sure and the thing is its not a replica, as the big boys never re newed the pattened lisence a few years ago so many brands jump on the popular style, I love this brand so much I just bought 9 more Invictas and have not had a problem yet all wotk great and all came in a butter box, you know what if you have always wanted a submariner but its not in the budget let me say get this watch you will not be let down and you will feel great wearing it it is very well made heavy thick bracelet fantastic polish snd brushed parts, you csnt go wrong get one and enjoy!!!

I picked this up on Amazon Global and it came from America for the princely sum of £235 including import fees, today some 4 months later it's for sale for a little over £400. This is a great watch IF you get a good one, the Swiss movement made by Sellita is essentially an ETA 2824 and both these movements are found in watches five figure price tags. I actually have two of these one is over fifteen years old, has been serviced a couple of times and gains about 1 second per day and the newer one which gains 3 to 5 seconds per day. The bracelet is the same on both (there are some very slight differences to the clasp) and it's stood the test of time very well. The watch is well made and nicely finished with my two criticisms being rubbish lume and a stiff bezel (on the newer one) I awarded the value for money stars based on the price I paid, at £400+ I think that you're getting close to some better brands, but the 99370B remains a solid prospect if you don't need low light visibility. Perhaps if Invicta sorted the lume, added a sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel it would seem a more competitive, but that said there are many watches at this price point that have a rattly Miyota or a NH35A, at least here you're getting an excellent quality high beat 28,800 bph (8 ticks per second) the Sellita SW200 is a clone of the ETA 2824 originally made under licence although I believe any patents would have expired by now.
