I am a TERRIBLE light sleeper and toss and turn all night. I was hoping to find a blanket that would weigh me down and prevent me from moving. I researched for a few days and then decided to go with this one. I liked the quilt stitch pattern opposed to the basic box stitch other brands do. I run very hot at night so it was important for me to stick to natural breathable fabrics. I can't say it's a cool blanket though - definitely not for summer time use. It's dense and heavy just as it should be. I purchased the matching cotton duvet cover to go with it. Cover fits perfectly to the blanket so it's not moving around and bunching up inside. If you are using this as your main comforter, I recommend going up a bed size so it falls a little bit over the edges. These are measured to fit exactly the bed size rather than full coverage. Especially go up a size if you have a cover hogging boyfriend like I have! ;) I am 5'6, 130 lbs and have a full bed. I purchased queen (60x80") 15 lbs blanket. It takes getting used to the weight but after a week you will be fine. Love it so much I purchased another one for my mom as a gift!

I bought this for my husband who hasn’t been sleeping more than 4 hrs a night for a very long time. He is very warm blooded so the first night he was too hot. The second night I turned the A/C down a notch and he slept for almost 8 hrs!!!!! He will never tell me, but I think he likes his blanket. I know I do because he is sleeping much more soundly. Less tossing and turning means more sleep for me. You do need to shake the blanket a bit to spread the beads in their pocket area, they tend to gather to one side. But once we did that it feels great! Seems to be made well so far.

I have restless legs and now periodic limbic movement disorder meaning I tend to kick my legs around when I sleep and move my arms some. Besides magnesium supplements (see my other reviews for those here) and new meds I take to stop waking up from thrashing around, I found this blanket to be very soothing and helpful. I have always liked having heavy blankets in the winter but couldn’t use them during spring or summer seasons. Since this is made with breathable cotton I am still using it through the summer and I’m loving how cool and comfy I still feel.

This blanket is one of the best made ones I’ve ever had. The concept of a weighted blanket is intriguing to me, and I was looking for something which would help me sleep past 4;30 in the morning on the weekends - if it could also relieve aches and pains, then I would have hit the jackpot. It looks like a comforter, and it definitely weighs 20 pounds. This weight, which is intended to help you sleep, does have the added benefit of ensuring your bed clothes don’t get tangled. If, like me, you have a cat who likes to hide under the blankets, it will definitely stop that. It does require some getting used to though, and I don’t think I’m there yet after a week. It stops you from moving around because the weight deters it. It makes it hard to get out of bed because you have to heft this blanket off of you. It also only covers the very top of the bed and does not go over the sides, which I found a bit disconcerting and don’t know how this would work for two people in the bed. I have not found that the pressure of it eased aches and pains, although I also didn’t find that it added to them. I like it better for naps as it does seem to make me relax more quickly than I otherwise would. It seems to slide down a bit during the night, maybe 4 or 5”, not a big deal but noticeable. Bottom line: I bought it to make me sleep better. It doesn’t seem to have done that but the blanket itself is very well made and durable. I do not think it should be washed at home because of its weight. You can neither feel nor hear the glass beads which give it the weight. Hope this helps.

First impression, delightfully heavy! I love the feeling of a heavy blanket pressing down on me. This is my first weighted blanket, 15 pounds, and it makes me sleep better during these cold NYC winter nights. It feels like a quality blanket and after using it for few nights, I have no issues with the glass 'sand' leaking out or any tears. I'm 5'6 and 195 pounds and it still allows me to shift without pinning me to the bed. I recommend it!

This blanket is nice for the most part, but it is NOT a queen size. It’s more like the size of a cheap throw from Walmart at Christmas . It’s pretty comfortable if you can get to the point where you are mostly covered. I’m disappointed because it actually makes me sleep less because it slides off in the middle of the night.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised, this blanket really is helping my boyfriend and I fall asleep faster- and stay asleep longer! Something about the weight behind the blanket is very comforting. Both of us, especially my boyfriend, usually have a very hard time getting to bed, just too much going on to really "sleep", even if we are tired. I recommend this for anyone that is struggling and desperate for a good night's sleep! When nothing else seems to be working, this definitely is! This week has been the best sleep I've had in MONTHS! **I got the 15lb blanket, which is perfect for my boyfriend at 160lb and me at 115lb

First off-I was encouraged and excited to buy for my son with autism. He has issues sleeping and I myself have insomnia. I have heard that weighted blankets can aid in sleep issues. I bought 4 -20lb 60x80 white blankets. I’m not too happy with the quality and make of these blankets. All 4 have issues. 2 blankets have their loops to attach to the cover sewn too tight. I can not attach them to the cover. Which defeats the purpose of a nice cover. You need a cover for these blankets. All 4 have threads sticking out of various places and 2 are not completely 60x80. They are off by several inches. Which makes the covers look off. For the price I would expect them to be made as stated. Not satisfied and not happy.
