Tungsten Sharpening
I bought this to replace the crummy grinding stone on my Harbor Freight 3 in. Bench Grinder. Now it lives on my workbench to serve only one purpose, to sharpen my tungsten for my tig welder. So far it has sharpened many tungsten electrodes and shows no sign of wear, I am very happy with this little diamond wheel. Less cumbersome than using a grinder, less expensive than a specialty tungsten sharpener. I will also say, it runs very true, no wobbles, no weird vibrations. (make sure you select the one that has the correct size arbor hole for your bench grinder)

The diamond wheels worked for as intended.

Nice solid base...
Good, well balanced heavy wheel. I only wish they made different grits. Not sure why I can't seem to find any other grits for 3" wheels. 150 seems to be the only one available. Would like to see other grits.

Fine enough grit that it makes dust of the glass covers I am cutting down
Picked this up along with a 3" grinder for my work to cut a couple mm off the edges of glass covers for an outside light fixture. I have ground down several of them now and for the price I am impressed; I have had no issues with flaking/cracking of the glass. Just a nice pile of dust next to my grinder and covers that fit perfectly in my balcony light fixtures. I needed 20 covers and to buy the replacements from manufacturer were $50 each, instead I spent $67 on a grinder and cutting wheel and $7 each on the covers that I am using. So this is saving me $793 ($1000-$140-$67) for a couple hours of work, and I'll have a nice little tool for other projects.

cheap way to grind tungsten or carbide on HF 3" grinder
I saw many reviews that mentioned the 3" bench grinder from HF as an option for mounting this. That grinder has a 10mm arbor diameter, and only one of the three options for this product has that exact size hole in the middle. Reviews for all three seem to be lumped together, so some mention that they had to make an adapter to fit a disk with a 1/2" hole. This is easy if you have a lathe, but if you don't, make sure you get the one with the 10mm bore. It's listed in its description as having a 3/8" bore, but that's not accurate. It's 10mm, and it fits the HF grinder just fine. As others have said, this combination is a fine way to either touch up a carbide tool or re-point a tungsten electrode. For me, this puts two new tricks up my sleeve.

Works great
I bought this to use in my Harbor Freight Mini Tool Grinder. I replaced the buffing wheel side of my grinder with this. It just barely fits inside the cover for the wheel, but it did fit. I had to make a spacer to fit on the motor side of the wheel to space it out a bit and allow the nut and washer to tighten up properly though. Does a fantastic job of grinding TIG electrodes and lathe tools.

Good wheel for pointing tungsten elecdtrodes
Nice diamond wheel. Works great for pointing TIG electrodes. It gets a 3 rating because the wheel is out of balance, causing grinder to move around, so had to clamp grinder to bench. There is no wheel on the other end of the grinder's shaft and without the diamond wheel, the grinder is motionless (no vibration). Not the end of the world but it would be nice if the wheel was better balanced. I even tried turning it at 90 degree increments on the shaft to improve the balance point, without success.

I bought this diamond coated wheel for my 3" mini bench grinder to grind carbide and HSS cutters. Although it needs an adaptor bush 1/2" OD to 10mm bore to fit the grinder, once I fitted it to the left hand side of the grinder with a few spacer washers it worked perfectly. You could also wrap a few turns of paper around the grinder spindle to get approx. a 2.5mm thickness and it will work just as well. I will be making a tilting table rest for the grinder to allow accurate angle grinding on lathe tools.

I put this on my small 3 inch grinder. Dedicated for sharpening tig tungsten. No vibration at full speed, spins true. Does a fine job. I couldn't find this anywhere locally. Took about 3 weeks to arrive. Had to machine a bushing for the shaft to mount.
