I think it's best translation of original work.The book physical quality is good.Read this novel and you will undesrstand moral dilemma vis a vis violence, nihilism,redemption and love, Great literature.

The rating is for the book. Just want to let anyone looking for the Pevear and Volokhonsky translation that the Kindle version is not that (it's the Constance Garnett one).

Lovely book! A Classic. Packing was done well. Delivery was before time. Worth the money spent. I recommend this book to everyone. This is the Pevear & Volokhonsky version, and the book is as shown in the pic. Font is legible and pretty good in size. Here, the cover is not a glossy finish. It is a a mat finish. English is pretty simple. I only read it as Fyodor Dostoevsky is a legend. He is one those few writers, whose writing is an eye opener to say. It's relevance is present a lot till date, in today's generation. Very small things matter as you go on to read the book. Buy this version. Only issue I had was, the corners were a little pressed and chipped off when I got the book.

The cover was different than the one shown in the picture and the book was not in perfect condition, had folds and dents.

Why is this book priced at 900 INR? The quality of this book is so bad that you can buy it for probably 100 INR off some street vendor. Let me rephrase that. You could probably get a better quality book than this for a fraction of the cost from a street vendor.

excellent translation. It made the work much more accessible for the modern day reader. This is a deep dive into the psychology of a troubled young man the world building is so so and some events should have been given more care - but if you have never gone in to Russian Lit its a reasonable place to start (white nights is a better starting point )

ive seen some posts and videos about kafka and dostoevsky for a while now and i could absolutely relate to what theyve written. and i saw a review about this book. it sounded interesting and kind of intrigued me. and even though im really not into reading books this was really worth it. like i love the book <33 definitely gonna buy more similar to this ! also watch bungou stray dogs (although they rlly dont have anything to do w each other, the anime was the first time i heard about dostoevsky and i liked him there. if i hadnt liked him in the anime i wouldnt have ended up reading up the author dostoevsky and his books, biography, etc :D)

The book came with dirty finger marks on it. Since it’s white it was quite visible. But with extra care the dirty marks were removed.

come si fa a recensire un libro? troppo personale, troppo soggettivo. mi limito a dire che è arrivato in tempo, bene imballato, tutto ok.
