OK, how can you go wrong with a kickplate? It turns out there are areas for improvement at this price point, but it mounted quickly and looks very good. Packaging was not adequate for the shipper. The pouch was bent and the kickplate was bent but not creased. Careful bending back gave me a flat enough kickplate to go ahead and mount despite the thin composition. For this price, I would have like the predrilled mounting holes to have been flared (concave) so the mounting screws were more flush. In this configuration, you can feel the head of each screw after mounting. Out door seemed typical in home design, so these measurements allowed mounting when centered left-right and high-low on the bottom panel of the door. No conflict with threshold, but again so thin, it would not have mattered. Smooth finish, no visible flaws once the mounting took out the last of the bend. Screws are color-coordinated. Assuming actual brass that won't rust with exposure to sun, rain, etc. Holding off on buying two more for the side and back doors. I may need to do more market search.

The kickplate was shipped/packaged carefully and received in good shape. The finish was unblemished as the showing side is covered with plastic seal. I did not remove the seal until all the screws were in place and almost tightened. Holes lined up with the previous plate and was easy to replace ...an electric screwdriver was a big plus in installation. Used a bit of wood/metal glue/caulk to secure the bond.

Great way to dress up your front door. Really easy install.

The company that sells/makes this product, had good intentions. They put a plastic pull-off layer on to the door kick, so that the product is not scratched. It has taken me 30 full minutes to remove only HALF of this. My fingers are WORN OUT. I will wait until tomorrow to do the other half. Honestly, I should have just returned it for that reason alone. It's as if this plastic coating is glued on with some type of Russian-Nuclear power adhesive.

Easy to install. Decent quality for the price. Used to protect my X5 when I drove with 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels from CA to WA. It fit but wished it covered the passenger doors. Also if using to cover the back of the front seats, it kept unfastening at the headrest.

Changed the front door kick plates to the Satin NIckel. I'm glad I kept the screws that I pulled out - the screws that came in the box were too small. Plates look great.
