Winning Chess Tactics Paperback – 6 June 2003

Awesome book which not only takes you through basic tactics, but shows the games of great tacticians with insightful commentary. It is followed by some really cool professional level level examples which I'm currently hooked on to. Definitely worth your time if you're beginning and hoping to improve your game.

This book is brilliant for a beginner. I'm currently at about 1000-rating on both chess.com and on my phone-app, and am finding each page of this book filled with very relevant content. Each topic has a very crisp yet complete explanation, followed by a series of tests. Each test is tough enough for me to spend several minutes on it, and yet the solution is quite simple when you cross-check the solutions provided at the end of the book.The print quality of the Indian edition is good in keeping with the lower price tag, and the font size, board-diagrams and writing are well-printed.
