I purchased this carpet and upholstery cleaner after thorough research and reading numerous reviews, and I’m very pleased with my decision. It cleans carpets effectively and did a great job on my sofa too. That said, I found the spot-cleaning head better suited to surfaces like stairs rather than the curved surfaces of furniture. Despite this, it still managed to refresh my sofa, which now looks and smells much cleaner. You could potentially use it to clean car upholstery - and I certainly plan to try - but I am going to look to purchase a narrower head if I can.The cleaner is somewhat heavy but remains easy to manoeuvre around the house. The long hose made cleaning our staircase straightforward, and the electric cord is a good length, allowing me to move around a room without needing an extension cable.The kit includes a small bottle of detergent, but I recommend purchasing a larger bottle if you plan to do extensive cleaning. Our carpets took a full 24 hours to dry completely. I plan to re-clean during the warmer summer months when drying will be quicker. I was quite shocked by the colour of the water extracted - it really showed how much unseen dirt was trapped in the carpets!Overall, this cleaner is a solid choice for deep cleaning carpets and upholstery. Just be prepared for the drying time, which can vary depending on carpet thickness, humidity, and ventilation, and consider the weight when moving the machine around. Its cleaning power and ease of use make it a worthwhile investment for maintaining a fresh home environment.Finally, it is fairly noisy so I recommend wearing earphones to help reduce the noise especially if you're planning to use it for an extended period of time.

This machine is excellent. It’s quite noisy, so you need to be patient when using it, but the results are absolutely worth it. It’s a bit heavy, especially for someone petite like me, but manageable if you take your time.I cleaned each area twice and rinsed twice per session, and the carpets looked fresh and almost like new afterwards.I definitely recommend it. Between ChatGPT, the air fryer, and this Vax machine, 2025 has become so much easier for me!

Omg this is an amazing carpet cleaner especially for the cost, the deep clean feels like its attached to the floor, super easy to use and fantastic results, you wouldn't know I had 2 large dogs and lived in rainy Scotland. It also has a spot cleaning attachment with a good length hose, so if your stuck between a small one for spot stains or a big one for full floor quick and deep cleans this covers it all. Honestly can't recommend enough.

Used on a variety of projects,since purchaseCarpets, upholstery, mattresses, providing you follow the instructions & use the correct kind of cleaning detergents, you will reap the results.With any power tool, it's always the cleaning after use, I have had Vax products in the past where no matter how much you did to clean it always left residue., NOT so with this model, it's a breeze to change dirty water, & clean down, noise level is acceptable for this kind of power tool, suction is great, water removal is excellent, manoeuvring is easy.A good all round bit of kit, I managed to purchase this on offer, but would have happily stumped up the extra based on results.MY ONLY NEGATIVE.The main handle to push and manoeuvre it around is IMO, cheap feeling, when it's assembled on arrival it doesn't have a robust enough feel for the fixings provided, that said there hasn't been any issues to date, but I believe this is a fault that will develop with use & over time.

I’m amazed how well this has cleaned my carpets. I was thinking of hiring a cleaner as after a couple of years of heavy footfall my carpet looked a bit dull. It was easy to use, the large tank means less filling and emptying throughout the cleaning process. After use the carpet looks like new. The attachment hose easily extends half way up the stairs so much easier to do. Did leak slightly from the top tank but I think that was my fault as I could have filled it slightly too high. But a very affordable piece of kit. You can see the difference before and after use on my carpets. One being a pretty horrid stain which the cleaner removed brilliantly.
