ADVENTUROUS ROMANTIC FUN
I think Bianca Blythe has the makings of an excellent author. Early yet, and developing but she has good style. Runaway Wallflower is the 3rd in the series. I learned about the first book in an ad on Facebook and it sounded fun so I purchased it. I enjoyed it so much I purchased the other 2. That said, each book had a similar common core in the female characters which became very obvious by the 3rd book, they are all "bluestockings" looking outside the box and not necessarily for love. Each heroine find herself in a heap of trouble along with her "guy." The first book "How to Capture a Duke" was very funny and heartwarming, our gal, who wants to be an archaeologist, "accidentally" high-jacks the Duke when she is mistaken for a highway robber by his driver and the adventure accelerates from there . I loved it, the 2nd book, "A Rogue to Avoid" leads our heroine in a different direction, she is more or less kidnapped by him and off they go trying to outrun a man determined to kill "the Rogue." This gal is simply a very misunderstood "ice queen" who is simply trying to please her parents. They make a wonderful couple and of course, she finds her real self in their travels. Now to "Runaway Wallflower" she want to be a "deep sea" diver, has developed her own helmet but since women can't do those things she tries to hire a man to go to the Caribbean for her and research the species of fish for her. Of course all goes wrong, she ends up posing as a man and boarding the ship and the romance between her and the captain begins. More or less predictable to some degree, but still a very entertaining, heartwarming, light read. Frankly, even though I saw the similarities in the books I didn't want to put them down, I just had to see how they got out of the messes they ended up in and how the relationships developed. Now, as is with almost all modern romances these days once they "get together" the reader is subjected to pages and pages of detailed, unmarried sex. I skip those pages as I don't find them relevant to the character development or story at all, but that's just me. I prefer being left on the other side of the door and giving the characters some privacy and I prefer the couples being married first, I'm just old fashioned that way. Fortunately these "scenes" are mostly in just one section of the book instead of throughout like some authors and I appreciate her restraint. I recommend these books to anyone who wants a nice, funny, lighthearted romance with an adventurous twist. I have contacted Ms. Blythe via Facebook to let her know I've enjoyed her books and she has written back to me which I always appreciate. I will not only be re-reading these, but purchasing more.....simply because they are fun! Thanks Bianca

Regency Sea Captains, Science-head Heroine, and Disguises!
I started reading it last night at bedtime, and read the whole thing in one go! You know how it is with a good story- if you put it down after the half-way point, it’s not as fun to come back to because you lose a little of the emotional momentum that was built up in the first half.Anyway, it was perfectly my cup of tea!The elements I liked:“Runaway Wallflower” was charming and humorous with a likable heroine and hero. The story style is a little like Maya Rodale (if you like Maya Rodale’s stories I’d recommend buying this one). It also contained a few tropes that I’m especially fond of (and have used in my current novel-in-progress). Let’s see…she has the heroine disguise herself as a young man. Check.she has well-developed hero and heroine with both points of view. Check. p.s. I like to know the hero.it’s a regency historical. Checkthe hero and disguised heroine are thrown together while traveling. Check.it has an instant attraction but slow-grow love story. CheckI’d call it low-angst. Check.the heroine is strong and eccentric without being a bitch. Check. The elements that might detract:Without being critical or trying, I found three easy-to fix typos. The vocabulary and wordplay is enjoyable enough and clever enough to be worth the extra editing to give it the final professional polish it deserves. So far, it's one of the best self-published books I've read.It has some fun improbabilities in it. If a book holds itself well enough in other ways, that’s something I personally can overlook, but depending on you, it might pull you out of the story to shake your head. I don’t read this genre for reality checks so I was fine.I really am excited to have found Bianca’s books and plan to support her efforts by buying more. Thanks Bianca!

Another great read by Bianca Blythe
I have already read the Prequel Novella The Perfect Fiancé, How to Capture a Duke, and How to Avoid A Rouge , wasn't sure I would want to read this .. As in the other I loved it . It is was well written full of adventure and humor . I personally Prefer less description of the The " bedroom scenes" But they are short and mild compared to other authors who go on and on . I love this series over all and how the characters from the other books are mentioned . This author is now one of my favorites . Will buy and read the next book in the series

A charming story that will make you giggle!
*Reviewed for Books & BenchesWho doesn't love a high sea adventure with a smart heroine and attractive captain? Runaway Wallflower is the fourth story in Bianca Blythe's Matchmaking Wallflowers series. If you love Regency historical romances, then this book is perfect for you. You should give it a chance. You won't be disappointed! It tells the story of Louisa and Rupert. Louisa is a brave, smart, and independent woman who is also the inventor of a diving device! How refreshing! She dreams of living a high sea adventure. Unfortunately, her parents have planned a marriage of convenience to a man who doesn't love her. Rupert is the attractive captain who owns the Sapphire Princess, and an ex-member of the Royal Navy. In order to run away to avoid the marriage, she boards his ship under the disguise of a young man. Then the fun begins! During their sea journey, Rupert and Louisa will share their deepest secrets and fall in love! Sparks will flare all over!I have to say that some scenes are so cute and hilarious! Let yourself be swept away on a journey to the Caribbean and enjoy the fun between these two charming characters. Runaway Wallflower is well written, filled with intrigue and romance with a touch of humor. I strongly recommend this beautiful story! I'm looking forward to read her next book, A Marquess for Convenience. This author never disappoints me!

Ridiculous plot
I pride myself that when I begin a book, I will stay with it right to the end, no matter how bad. I found it difficult to do this with this story and nearly abandoned it several times. What a ridiculous plot. A woman invents a diving suit, trying it out on the beach in Brighton? She has herself rowed out to a ship to leave it for a so called scientist she has never met? (Even though she is to meet him that same night at a ball). Humiliated by her family and others in public about her lack of physical attributes? Written about in a 'Wallflower's magazine? Research into fish? It just got worse and worse.

What fun
Thoroughly enjoyed it, to the point where the infrequent typos didn’t bother me unduly (sorry, but being British and an anal retentive about grammar and authenticity does spoil quite a few American-authored Regency romances for me!).

An enjoyable read
It did take me a little while to get into this book but it was well worth persevering. Louisa is quite a courageous woman for her time. When faced with an arranged marriage, she disguises herself in order to board a ship bound for the West Indies. To me, this is when the book really takes off. I enjoyed the interaction with the Captain, a man who has his own secrets. Altogether, a most enjoyable read.
