Not as warm toned as anticipated, not as shiny either. The size is excellent. The loop works well though it's not as smooth as I had hoped. Overall I paid more money hoping to get what looked in the pictures to be a superior product but ended up with what I wish I had paid $20 for. This is my first yarn bowl, I already love it because it IS pretty and I plan to have it for a very very long time my only observation is the product I received is not as perfect as the product pictured. There is a large section of the bowl that had a blemish with was filled with wood filler. I don't like the look so I have returned the item for a replacement. UPDATE-Replacement has arrived and overall better, warmer tone, less wood filler. Aforementioned (in a different review by a different customer) crack on the lip near the spiral has been visibly repaired. I don't mind but I thought I would follow-up as another reveiwer had mentioned such a defect. I have been using this bowl for some months now. I LOVE IT. Even with the defects and returns I give it 4 stars. It would be 5 had I not had to 4eturn the first bowl.

This is my third time trying to get a knitting bowl. The first one was a ceramic bowl and the bottom had sharp points that would catch and snag the yarn. The second one sent was used. I sent it back because I ordered and new one but got a used one instead.This is the knitting bowl that I was going to buy but didn't because of the bad review with all the bad pictures. This bowl is beautiful. Very well made with a beautiful finish. I wish I would have saved myself the trouble of having to return two bad bowls and had gotten this one first. You won't be disappointed.

Oh I love this bowl. It is just so pretty. So well made. Heavy so it doesnt tip over. Nothing snags. I would buy it over and over. Such a good gift if you know a knitter. I bet they dont have one and if they do its not as nice as this one.

Gorgeous!! Not only did it arrive almost two weeks early, but it is prettier in person! The picture doesnt do justice! It's in pristine condition and I love the soft non-slip bottom! I'm VERY happy! The color has a slightly teal shade to it and it's almost shimmery- i cant get over it! Absolutely love it!!!

After searching for a perfect yarn bowl, I had only seen ceramic ones, I found this beautiful wooden bowl to hold my yarn while knitting. It's beautiful, perfect size and pretty on my coffee table. I love this bowl !!!!
