Great shoe, very comfortable.

I've worn these Softspots Trinidad shoes for 6 or 7 years now. I love them. The size 7 wide is perfect for my wide toes. I have to put heel guards in them, though, because my heels are rather narrow. The heel guards tighten up the heel just enough to keep the shoes from flopping around as I walk. My one problem with these shoes is the hollow heels. I SO wish all shoe manufacturers would make solid heels the way Easy Spirit did on the fisherman's sandals I have. Those shoes actually wore out long before the heels were barely worn down at all.On my Softspots, the heels wear out long before the upper shoe does. I found the solution, however. I buy heel guards and put them on. A bit tricky if your manual dexterity has become compromised by getting older, but I can still do it. I'd tell you from whom I bought them, but checking on that old order I find the seller listed in my review of them is different than the one listed on my actual order. Okay, my original order as listed here on Amazon says I bought them from "The Novelty Brand." When I click on the item to buy again, I seem to get a different seller. I'd recommend them to anyone who wants their shoes' heels to last for the life of the shoes.

It's been years since I had shoes like these (huaraches). I think I stopped wearing them because I couldn't find them, but they were always a favorite because of their easy slip on style - no back strap to adjust, just step in and go. I ordered a second pair immediately after receiving the first (I waited to make sure they were as I remembered). I'm very happy with both pair, but the first pair I got were smaller than the second. I'm still breaking them in indoors, but was able to wear the second pair without a break-in period. Both pair were a size six medium. Overall I'm VERY happy to have these shoes again!

Love my hurraches. Get compliments. Super comfortable, even without any arch support. They do stretch out. Quite a bit, actually, so order them snug. Mine were 1/2 size smaller than my normal size. They were still comfortable in the beginning when they were snug. Now they're a bit loose and I'd like to figure out how to shrink them just a tad! Oh, well.I'm now updating this review. I'm starting my 4th summer with these. I wear them hard throughout the season. I still love them except for them having stretched out so much and being so loose. I'm about ready to order new ones, just to get a more snug fit, and when I do, I'll try a full size smaller than my usual size.

Just as expected as I have worn them in the past.

I had to stuff a pair of wet socks into both shoes in order to stretch them. After a couple days I used my hair dryer to dry the shoes while they were on my feet. Now they are very comfortable and provide good support. This is the second pair of this style shoes that I have purchased. My prior pair also required stretching before I could even get them onto my foot, so I knew in advance the I would have to stretch my new pair. When I bought my first pair I tried the wider size, but while they were okay in front, they were too wide from the arch to the heel.

I have been buying these sandals for 10 years. I wear them only during the summer and a pair will last 2-3 summers. The nude and white were both backordered this time, so I ordered the multi for the first time. Even though these are wide width they a quite snug on my fat feetsies. The nice thing about this brand is that the leather will begin to stretch with wear, so in a few days these sandals will be just right. Softspots is a good quality brand, and I will buy them again.
