I also have a One Touch Ultra mini but the cost of the test strips is so outrageous I no longer use it. I bought this meter because of the good reviews and the reasonable cost of the strips. I will say that the android phone app used for recording test results is not the most user friendly; it works well but it takes a little bit to get used to. I do not like that I have to connect to the internet and have my phone's gps on before it will sync my meter to it. The Contour device only requires bluetooth to connect to the phone but the app itself won't work without internet. Again annoying but not deal breaker as the Contour device itself does not require the phone to work and one can always keep a log the old fashioned way, with pen and paper.
