This is a hard review to write. I've decided to give it 5 stars throughout because it does what it's supposed to. But it's not without faults. The primary fault is that it doesn't deliver its advertised 8k imagery without a lot of intervention, and the resulting images are not useful because the format seems to be incompatible with recording software so the results are distorted to match my screen. As other reviewers have mentioned, the colour is poorly saturated, necessitating a lot of configuration in post. The lens is very basic indeed as one might expect at this price point. There is about 90 degrees of rotation in the focus ring. But that's not your range of focus. It's needed because the range of focus at the long end of the zoom is in a very different place to the focus at the wide end. So zooming while recording is not possible, it would throw the focus wildly off. And there is no possibility of auto focus since there is no link from photo sensor to the lens mount. But, for £80 what is reasonable to expect? This is clearly a specialist product offering manual control over a USB camera. If you want a logitech then by all means go that way. But if you want to be in control.....

(I'm reviewing the 1080p H.264 0.01lux webcam) I've been trying this out for a few days - it took me a while to get sorted because this camera definitely needs a decent stand (no realistic way to bodge-fix it to the top of your monitor like there is with normal webcams). Once done, getting it zoomed and focussed just the way you want takes a bit of doing too because it's all manual, and you're likely to have to sit a little distance away from it, but that's hardly difficult to deal with. FWIW, I've got my camera on a stand about a feet behind my monitor, and angled so that its view "skims" over the top of the monitor). Once connected to the computer, you get a pretty nice picture - not actually as sharp as it might be. It's hard to compare, but my Logitech C920 probably has a better picture. However, the reason I went with this camera is because of the zoom and consequent depth of field. The Logitech had me looking quite small, with lots of my room on show. Now, using almost no zoom at all, I'm on video calls as head and shoulders only, much less of my room on show and the background is slightly out of focus (so possibly a little less distracting for viewers?). I paid a little more for this particular model (although right now it's on a limited deal to be the same price as the others) because I wanted it to work in low light. Most cameras struggle in low light and it's hard to light yourself sufficiently well at home (unless you go big into lights), so I thought maybe a low light camera would compensate for my lack of pro lighting. Honestly, it really doesn't at all - without bright lights, it's definitely a bit "dim", even with the aperture wide open. I get the feeling the camera has no in-built processing (others definitely do - in an attempt to make them look better), and the output of it responds well to some "brightness" adjustment on the computer. One thing to note is that there is no "on" light on this camera, so it's hard to know if it's working without seeing the actual video stream. There's also no light you could use as a tally light, if that's something you need. All said and done though, this does a decent job of being a webcam for video calls. I'm not sure I'd use it for making high quality video, although it has got miles of zoom, so it might find uses in bigger halls or whatever. It's good, good enough for me for sure, but it's not awesome - but for the price, it's competing with the likes of the "webcam" market, not pro video.

The lense is okay, can see some imperfections at certain zoom/focus levels but good enough for a 1080p image. It can zoom crazy far and even provide pretty extreme macro shots thanks to a crazy wide focus range. For specific use cases it could be fantastic. Colour reproduction lets it doen. Inconsistent and often blue, using for conference calls can make you look like a zombie. I have combined with an rgb led lightsource so I can force the colour science to 'reset' and it does pickup skin tones after a few tries If it had a way to fix or adjust the white ballance it could be perfect. obviously colour can be fixed in certain applications, but sadly not in most video conference platforms.

I wanted a replacement webcam for Zoom/Teams meetings, and this does the job very well. As the camera is "plug and play", and having the ability to adjust the aperture, zoom and focus means that I can position the camera for optimal image capture. The image quality is much better than my laptop's built-in camera, and the overall experience is more professional.

Bought to put on top of the TV for improved zoom meeting quality over the camera built into the laptop. Being able to zoom the frame was important to me - and it does that... But basically I got almost no image at all unless the aperture was 100% open, and even then it was pretty poor unless I had all the lights on in the room on full brightness. And then the colours... Dreadful - really washed out and dull. Bottom line is that the titchy camera on the laptop gives me a much better picture with brighter colours, and it works in low light. This camera is really not worth the money so it's gone back.

We are now live streaming our Church services via Zoom. We already had a camera which showed about half of the front of the church. This was bought as a second camera for close up shots of the person preaching. The telephoto is good, the camera, sitting on the sound desk at the back of the church, can be zoomed in to give a good close up shot of the speaker at the lectern. The zoom and focus are very sensitive, it takes some fiddling to get it just right. The colour is hugely inferior to our other low priced but fixed lens camera. A little pricey but, overall a decent solution to our needs.

Kontras: * Keine Weitwinkelobjektiv (Objektiv kann nicht ausgetauscht werden!), daher nur als Webkamera für Einzelpersonen tauglich, nicht für Gruppen * Man sollte zumindest die Grundzusammenhänge zwischen Brennweite, Fokus und Blende verstanden haben, um die Kamera korrekt einstellen zu können * Stativ muss eigens gekauft werden, im Lieferumfang ist keine Montagemöglichkeit enthalten, lediglich zwei Dübel und Schrauben, deren Zweck sich mir nicht erschlossen hat

Premetto che per l'uso a cui è destinata è soddisfacente, vorrei fare il punto sull'ottica di cui è dotata. In fig. 1 la camera riprende con un'inclinazione di 80°, anzicchè 90°, rispetto al piano perpendicolare, con l'ottica al massimo del grandangolo. Si noti la deformazione del parallelismo e i quattro bordi che risultano essere "anneriti". In fig. 2 la ripresa è fatta con il massimo dello zoom. Francamente la pensavo un po' meglio...!

Il sensore ha un altissimo rumore sul nero e presenta svariati pixel bianchi! L'ottica ha un'ampia regolazione: fuoco, zoom e otturatore, ma distorce molto l'immagine (effetto fisheye)

Die Auflösung ist o.k. und der Zoom auch. Der Folus könnte feiner einstellbar sein - ist ein wenig Gepfrimel. O.K. - mit Profi-Objektiven hat diese Cam nichts zu tun. Am meisten störend ist ein wenig die ungleichmäßige Farbwiedergabe. In der Mitte hatten zwei Kameras einen grünstichigen Hotspot. Die eine mehr, die andere weniger. Mangels Alternativen ist diese Webcam als Dokumentankamera-Ersatz aber trotzdem brauchbar. Aber der Preis ist könnte für die Qualität günstiger sein.

J'avais vu des vidéo de cette caméra sur internet ! Le produit qui m'a était livré n'est même pas le même que sur la photo ! C'est une autre version !! La qualité est juste médiocre surtout que pour ce prix la ! Très déçu, je ne le recommande pas du tout !!!
