Install went as described and unit performs as stated. Rund very quietly.

Helps keep temp down in the AM and late PM
It’s more quiet than a box fan. Got the windows open definitely bringing in the cooler air. It also helps push hot air out of the attic. When the flappers close when you turn it off it’s also quite. I went with a blue tooth switch. Vary happy with the whole house fan should of bought it years ago

Louder than I had hoped
First off, it's a well-made unit: solid aluminum motor housing, well-insulated flexible ductwork. The plenum air dampers work OK, although they make an alarming clunking noise when the unit is turned on and off. The air flow is impressive, definitely as good as advertised. However, the fan noise level is much louder than I had hoped for. We have a very well insulated attic, but on high speed the fan sounds like there is a garage band bass player upstairs working on his chops. At low speed, it makes about as much noise as our dishwasher. There is no way I could sleep with this unit running. A third "whisper" setting would be ideal.

Energy saver.
My son installed the fan in the laundry room allowing a venting of the whole house. It's great to bring the cool air in the morning. Some days the AC didn't even turn on. Our energy bill also decreased. I love this quiet and powerful whole house fan.

QUIET & worth a little extra!
It fit right in a smaller spot which was great! It is very quiet!! You really don’t know it’s on! We had one before & it sounded like a jet taking off!!! It was worth more $$
