Matcha Green Tea Powder (100g) Authentic Japanese First Harvest Culinary Grade from Shizuoka, Japan | Resealable Ziplock Pouch

I am by no means an expert but I did my own research and test. I purchased this matcha and a cheap culinary grade. My use was for green tea lattes. This matcha was delicious and a beautiful bright green. Then I tried the other. It was awful and bitter. I literally could not drink it.

I like the zip lock bag although it can get messy when you are nearing to the bottom and have only few spoons left. It has a beautiful colour and great taste. Nice quality. I know the whole matcha ceremony prep and the utensils used but I usually go very modern way slaughtering the beautiful tradition and zen - I put a teaspoon in with hot water and cold coconut milk and spoon of honey and blend in vitamix for a few seconds so it’s nice and frothy. Creating matcha cappuccino style.

Unfortunately, this matcha powder tastes like fish and had to be thrown away. I have gone back to the brand I typically use. This is likely a consequence of the powder being packaged in India - this information is not provided in the product description online(!). I would not have purchased had I known this. It is very likely the green tea powder denatured as a result of high storage temperature causing it to taste fishy. Never again.

Product seems slightly damp, not as finely ground as others I've tried. Tastes OK but I'll not buy this brand again.

Ce thé est vraiment très bon - le matcha est très bon pour la sante et aide dans la perte de poids - le boire une fois qu'il es bien infusé au bout de 5 min , mais ne pas tarder à le boire parce qu'il ne faut pas que la petite nuée qui es au dessus descende au fond de la tasse - la moitié d'une petite cuillère rase suffisent

Siempre he sido un fan del matcha y he comprado varios productos hasta encontrar este de Vahdam. Para los que estéis interesados, os dejo varios puntos a tener en cuenta: - Como todos los tés de Vahdam, el packaging es exquisito. Viene en un paquete verde, de tacto muy agradable, juraría que también con propiedades aislantes de temperatura, donde podemos leer las recomendaciones de preparación para este té ( cantidad de té, cantidad de agua, temperaturas de preparación,etc...). Una vez abierto, tiene modo ZIP para cerrarlo. - Color verde claro (algún comentario ponía que era muy oscuro y de mala calidad...lástima que no pongan fotos para corroborarlo) y sin olores raros. Importante para los que no hayáis tomado nunca matcha, si os pasáis en cantidad quizá tengáis unos dejes al paladar a alga. Es normal. - Es de GRADO CULINARIO, y lo pone bien escrito en la etiqueta. Si veis de gente que se queja de que otros matchas son mejores para tomarlo al modo tradicional,etc...es que son ELLOS los que NO MIRAN lo que compran. Yo con este preparo matcha lattes, cheescakes de te matcha, etc... y queda todo buenísimo, coge el color verde característico y no sabe amargo (obviamente, hay que calcular bien las cantidades a adicionar). En resumen: para repostería y bebidas varias, este matcha va fenomenal. Ahora bien, para grado ceremonial, este no es tu producto, bien anunciado está.
