Wallies Wall Decals, Reusable Slate Gray Chalkboard Wall Sticker, Set of 4

I originally bought this item on a bit of a whim while trying to set up a beer tasting party. I was looking for a way to identify different glasses without using plastic cups, using marker that would rub off on people, or ruining glasses with permanent marker or chalkboard paint and came across the Wallies Peel & Stick Chalkboard. Overall I was really impressed with the product. The sheets are able to be easily cut into any size shape if you want a different design. We cut them to fit the glasses we were using (although I do recommend smooth, straight sided glasses) and they stuck well and came off just as easily. I was even able to adjust and re-position the sheets without any trouble and they came off ready to be used another time. Our guests loved that they could write their names and design their own labels for their glasses. Instead of chalk, we used the Crayola Dry Erase Crayons and they are awesome. They give a bright pop of color and don't come off or smear when holding them, but wipe off easily with a cloth. For writing that's been on for a longer time or was very heavy, a touch of water cleans it right up and it's ready to go again once dry. We liked it so much, we bought another set to put on our fridge as a reminder/shopping/to do/note board. We're really happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a different fun way to take notes, have a drawing space, or provide a place for their kids to draw on the walls without ruining the paint.

Delivery for this item was on time, and the slate grey chalkboard sheets were exactly as described. I had already taken measurements, so I didn't think the chalkboard sheets would be too small. The measure 9 inches wide, 12 inches long. One package suited my needs perfectly; the size of these sheets was just right for the space I intended to use them on. I mounted three of them sideways on the kitchen pantry door. Perfect fit. The sheets stuck quite well when I pressed them onto the door, but they can be repositioned if need be. I mounted the fourth sheet on the front door of my apartment. I usually write reminders (Take keys...go to post office...) on that one the night before so I'm reminded of what I have to do the following morning. The package came with four small pieces of white chalk. It's best to round off the sharp edges of regular chalk before using them. Otherwise those sharp edges can leave creases in the chalkboard surface. I also bought a package of the Bistro Chalk Markers. Those come in white, orange, pink and purple. All of those colors show up pretty well on the slate grey. I'm very satisfied with this purchase, and I'd recommend it to anyone who needs a nice chalkboard. Of course, those who need a bigger board would have to buy two packages. Still, it's pretty decent for the price.

These chalkboard stickers are the perfect budget friendly removable stickers I have come across. We rent our house and we have bedroom doors that have the small glass panes in them. Our two doors have 15 windows each. It took two orders to completely cover each pane of glass in our house. I was nervous that our children, who had never had to be careful of glass before in their everyday play could potentially break one of the panes and get hurt by them. I knew that if there was something holding the glass that the pane would break in a spiderweb pattern and the chalkboard sticky would hold it together preventing glass from falling into the carpet and more importantly from cutting my children. Luckily, I have not had to find out if they would work for this purpose but I am very pleased with them. The other great feature of these stickies for us and our set up is that by applying these chalkboard stickers to the glass panes on our bedroom doors, we have eliminated the excess light that pours in from other rooms. This is awesome for nap time and even night time. Our family is very responsive to light and we sleep best when it is darkest. These stickers block the light that floods in and on the opposite side of the spectrum they prevent any guest we have from seeing into our bedrooms while we are changing which is a problem with the sheer decorative curtain that came with our rental. On top of all of that we get to write chores on each pane of the doors as well as messages to each other that easily wipe off and new messages can be left. For us, we have a list of things that make these stickers amazing and we are so happy that we found them.

I am not at all satisfied with these. First of all, they were not packaged very well. They arrived bent and folded. I have a vinyl shop and we always ship vinyl in a rigid cardboard mailer so that they won’t get bent. When you bend vinyl, it is very hard to make that crease go away. Secondly, they were not the advertised size. It says that they are 9 x 12. These were about 7 ¾ by 11 ¾. The photo showing them is very misleading. They do look quite larger than they really are. That alone wouldn't be so bad if they listed measurement was correct, but it is not. The chalk came broken into pieces. Once again, this is a shipping problem. You can not ship chalk in an envelope and expect it to arrive on time. Again, not a huge deal because chalk is easy replaceable. Being a teacher, I have plenty of chalk. As a business owner also, I know that this is not how you ship something that you want to arrive in tact. They do not wipe off easily. You have to use a wet wipe or cleaning solution in order to get it to come clean. The vinyl itself is very low quality. It’s obviously something that is being bought very cheap and resold. I initially bought these for my son’s room, but once I received them, I did not even want to put them in his room. I was just too disappointed in them. I can use my own high quality vinyl to work better than this. After reading the other reviews, I am not even going to try to apply this to my walls. Other say that it ruins the walls by puling the paint off. I tried one out on my refrigerator and let my son draw on it. It is too frustrating fo him to try to wipe clean. I seriously ended up throwing the rest of them in the trash as they are not worth using.

It says a pack of 4 and the only when i got the product and re read the fine print it said pack of two. Thats misleading and needs to be changed! The vinyl seems all bent and its non returnable.

Nice, hangs easily. One complaint, if you happen to angle your chalk slightly, it removes the chalk board finish on the decal.

I'm so pleased with this purchase. They are just what I was looking for – I have used them to decorate the side of my fridge-freezer and they look great. Other reviewers have left negative comments about the sheets having air bubbles underneath, however I think that if you are careful and take time to apply the sheets properly you can achieve a perfectly smooth surface. My top tips for getting the best results are: • This product comes folded up, which isn't ideal, but simply fold the sheets out and leave it under a pile of heavy books for a few hours or overnight and it will straighten out no problem. • Use a spirit level and a ruler to get a perfect straight line before you start, if that kind of thing is going to bug you later on! If possible, mark up your surface beforehand in pencil. • Peel the backing away from just the top first, leave the rest on (I found this helped stop air bubbles rather than peeling it all off at once). Press the top of the sheet down onto your surface firmly, smoothing along with your finger to secure. When the top is firmly attached and straight, gently peel away the rest of the backing and pull down to achieve a smooth surface. Smooth and flatten sections as you go by firmly using the palm of your hand to ease out any air bubbles. This technique was really similar to covering a cake with sugarpaste, if you've ever done that! • Air bubbles will appear sometimes, but it's really easy to peel the sheet back slightly and start again. Just go slowly, and carefully, and smooth all the time with the palm of your hand. If you rush it, you're going to get annoyed with the results. But the great thing is, nothing's permanent and you can peel it off and start again. I bought eight panels, it took me about 20 minutes to put them up carefully, which I think was worth it as you get a nice smooth surface. Chalk writes onto them beautifully – be careful not to scratch it with sharp chalk though. You get a little pouch of white chalk with the panels, and they work well. Can also use it with chalk markers. They also stick well to kitchen cupboard doors and varnished wooden doors. They really do peel off with no residue (renters rejoice!). Not tried applying them direct to walls yet. FOR KIDS: These are great fun for kids to doodle on, but I would say not to expect too much from the sheets in terms of how long they'll last or how perfect they'll be. They are quite thin and sensitive to sharp chalk (not as sturdy as their chalkboard easel at home) so you're probably going to get scratches over time. Let's face it, kids are always going to press too hard once in a while. If you don't mind looking at an outline of Daisy's abstract fairy princess for a few weeks after she draws it, then you're fine. PRICE: I looked around, and this was the best price you could get for these things in the UK. Considering how they turned out, I'd say good value for money! Ps. I'm a lifestyle writer, and will definitely be recommending these to my readers. I've also made my own chalkboards before, using magnetic primer and then chalkboard paint. That's a cool option for a whole wall or a framed chalkboard, but these sheets are SO much more convenient and a great hassle-free alternative. Love 'em!
