In 1989 we installed a toilet with this shape seat. The seat needed replaced. Finding this shape without paying $75+ for it was next to impossible. This toilet seat is perfect!!!

I keep the toilet and the toilet seat clean. However everyone knows that you have to BUY a new seat every now and then. The seats are getting harder to find since you no longer can take it to your neighborhood hardware store and just pick the same one up anymore! 💗💗This new seat fits perfectly!💗. The quality is fabulous!🥰 I actually just purchased a second one so that in 7 years I won’t have to worry about finding another one that fits ! AWESOME

I rarely write reviews anymore, but this product deserves one star. The reviewers who write about the hinges breaking are correct; the hinge is designed incredibly badly and the company clearly does not care to fix it. My toilet seat loosened after about 4 to 5 months, and I did not think at first there was anything I could do about it. However, after about a month or so the entire lid came off, which actually proved beneficial. I found hidden underneath it was a little plastic pin. It turns out there are two little pins that connect the lid and toilet seat to the hinges—one pin for each hinge. They can easily fall out, and then the toilet seat comes apart. It is a bizarre design for several reasons, but among them is that there is nothing to stop the pins from coming out as you use the toilet over time. Undoubtedly this explains why so many people are experiencing broken hinges. The good news is that if you are willing to get your fingers dirty you can reinsert the pins into the hinge, toilet seat, and lid, and get the toilet working again. Mine now is fine, but I would not recommend others buying this toilet seat. I would get one that works like a normal toilet seat, and stays in one place for years without needing to be fixed every 4 to 5 months. The company responded to my first email, which seemed good, but then they refused to respond to a later email, which provided photographs of the problem. It is pretty evident that this company knows it has a design problem but does not care to rectify it, and is not willing to communicate with customers to uphold its warranty. Double trouble. Most importantly, this seat exactly fit the Eljer Emblem toilet--a rather unusual design. Better to replace the seat than a whole toilet. The only fly in the ointment---The seat is fine, but the lid, unlike most, is not really designed to bear weight. If you regard the lid as an "extra chair" in the bathroom, this isn't for you. If you want a lid you can sit or stand on, it might be better to opt for a wooden model. Those bring their own problems.

We have a 1980's Elgir toilet. I have had a terrible time finding a replacement toilet seat because of the squared front. This fit perfect and is good quality.

In our house, we have 2 Eljer toilets w/ square fronts. Last year, we replaced original worn wooden seat w/cover with this low cost Centoco plastic seat w/cover. This replacement looks, fits, and has worked well like original since then. At this time, I purchased a second Centoco plastic seat w/cover replacement for our other toilet. Upon removing the new toilet seat w/cover assembly from shipping carton, I found 1/2 (short end) plastic hinge pins broken and cover separated from seat. The shipping carton was not damaged. This is a manufacturer design flaw and/or inadequate internal packaging material for absorbing shock on molded pins during shipping by truck. Amazon is sending a replacement which hopefully will arrive undamaged.

This is a hard plastic material, with the correct size and shape for eljer toilets, for a reasonable price. People saying it broke from regular use must either be eljer employees or else must have BMIs above the 3rd standard deviation, which is possible and could account for the broken hardware so keep that in mind. For me it installed easily, has the same hard plastic screw and nut as other toilet seats which I prefer to corroding metal (it's the 3rd toilet seat I've had to replace in about 7 years), and has a price that isn't a joke. Don't waste your time or money, if you need a replacement seat that fits this shape, this is the most reasonable option on Amazon. The only con, IMO, is the seat isn't a slow-close hinge. But still, really good value. Will update if I run into broken hardware, but I seriously doubt it's going to crack or break without me trying to do so.

Made of plastic, it's an upgrade from the compressed wood chips of its predecessor. Fits my antique Eljer toilet perfectly. I was worried that I couldn't find a replacement but Amazon came to my rescue. I'm a satisfied Amazon shopper.

This item was a tough one to find anywhere as it fits a 30 year old Eljer toilet. The seat fits perfectly! The colour is slightly different, but very close. Very happy with this product.

Got tired of making do with generic seats that don't fit. It's expensive but worth having for a correct fit. Have purchased two.

Finally found THE seat to replace the old Eljer one from 1988, which was starting to grow molds. Bone color fits perfectly in my case. Thanks
