Review: "Super Joints" + "Relax into Stretch" = Pain-Free Body - I foolishly injured my left shoulder a few months ago. With this injury, I lost a lot of ROM on my left shoulder, I suffered sudden and sharp pain, and the usual "frozen" joint syndrome. I picked up a copy of Pavel's "Super Joints" book; I had heard of this book before but, frankly, didn't give it much attention. Well, with the injury in mind, I gave SJ a second more thorough look. I decided to try the first of the 1-17 drills. Well, surprise! Not only did my shoulder started feeling better from the first few practices, my entire body began to appreciate the daily 'recharge'. Very soon, I became addicted to SJ and I now feel like a million-bucks. The entire SJ drills are well described and easy to follow. As an additional companion, I also picked up Pavel's "Relax into Stretch." I now alternate days with SJ and RIS. On Pavel's website ... is an article on how to incorporate Tai-Chi/Qigong, even Yoga, synergistically with the SJ experience. I heartily recommend SJ for its simplicity, usefulness and practicality. One can easily add it before (or after) a weight and strength-training workout, incorporate it with body-weight only Calisthenics circuit, or a classic Russian Kettlebell program. Or ALL of it, if one is so inclined. Either way, Super Joints is an excellent program. Review: Good supplemental title. - A wealth of knowledge is in here, although as I've noticed with a lot of Pavel's books, there is a lot of advertising. Wade through that, and this is a great supplemental book. Not stellar on it's own. I got this with Instant Flexibility Through Mastering Muscle, Convict Conditioning, The Naked Warrior, and You Are Your Own Gym. Together, they make a powerful pack for fitness. Guess now I'm advertising...:{

Classic Pavel, Comrades
Super Joints with its companion DVD is a really great complement to “Relax into Stretch” and its companion DVD. Pavel is an absolute master of presenting very dense information in a very succinct, easy to follow and easy to begin to implement manner. Beyond his commitment to sifting through loads of Soviet research and making the data available to the world, his ability to communicate otherwise opaque information so clearly—in my opinion, is arguably his greatest strength. This is a manual that you will likely read through quickly, but then refer to repeatedly as you work through and develop these exercises.

My physical flexibility is up - at the age of 58 I am very very happy (and fit)
It works! My physical strength and flexibility is up!! I feel very, very good. I am a pioneer missionary in Thailand, I am constantly on the look out for simple and totally effective methods on how to improve life. I learned a lot from this book! Thumbs up. I have myself discovered "secrets" how to improve my life, I have written two Kindle books myself: one on gum disease (An Amazing Alternative Treatment for Periodontal Disease) and one on the, as I describe them, best body deodorant in the world (ALL THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT CRYSTAL DEODORANT). So, as an expert on real life secrets and improvements I can tell: I LOVE THIS BOOK!

Great manual
Top quality instructions to thoroughly validated methods. I tell my clients that they should "move all joints through their range of motion daily to keep them healthy for a lifetime" but this book tells you how.

Excellent training advice
As one who is in need of improved joint mobility, I am looking forward to putting this program into practice. I am a little skeptical, though, of some of what seems to be Russian stereotyping used a a marketing gimmick. As long as the advice is sound, I suppose the hype is tolerable.

Great read
Love all of Pavel's books. Nobody can distill complicated subjects into simple terms with the right amount of humor to keep you giggling and intrigued at the same time. While this book isnt his most focused subject, it's a great collection on the subject of joint and muscle flexibilty. Worth the read 👍

Very nicely explained
Lucidly explained. Joint mobility is more important then strength routine . Before starting workout these exercise should be practiced without fail. Best wishes

old and creaking to old and less creaky?
very sensible well explained matches and improves on my knowledge - chiropractor has been trying to explain this to me for years but in simple book form with pictures and diagrams it has clicked for me I only looked at this due to persistent pestering from a black belt instructor in martial arts who is ridiculously flexible fast and strong. don't wait till it hurts practise this before it does! well worth the effort
