I do find that the smoke flows over the sides of the burner and can leave a sticky residue on the surface that the burners on, this is likely an issue with all burners, so make sure to place it somewhere you can easy wipe down. I wasn't a fan on the smell of the cones which came with the burner, they didnt really smell of much and burnt very quickly, i personally didnt buy this for the cones as i already had some, but it is something to keep in mind. Review: Cool backflow burner - Really cool burner. Make sure you buy “backflow cones” to use on them, regular cones won’t work. I’d make sure to put it on a placemat or something as it can leave a sticky residue and slightly burn the area underneath.
