First, I'll say there isn't much new here for me, so much of this I've already done. BUT, she offers technique, some new ideas, some different approaches in method, so even for the experienced, there might be new information or a new approach that might improve a product or technique. Her information on wicks, which was one of the reasons I bought this, is okay, but was hoping for more how to on making my own wicks, not what kind I should buy - although her explanations of what wicks for which candles was still helpful If you are new to all this, think this is a good book. Her instructions are pretty straightforward and she's kept it all pretty simple. She offers the how to, as well as some whys. a some information on where to get ingredients and tools.

This was a present for a recent retiree who has everything. She has dabbled with making beeswax candles & products in the past. When she first open the present she gave the obligatory polite thank you. Then her eyes lit-up when she open the book, flipping through the pages I noticed it traveled around with her throughout the house during the holidays. She was delighted. The pictures are of high Quality, the instructions are easy to follow, and there is enough variety to entice anyone. It is also a good reference book to place on a shelf for years to come. This book was a complete success in the gift giving world.

I love this purchase. I read almost the entire book in a couple hours. A nice easy read with easy recipes. I'm interested in making my own products out of beeswax, but I had no idea how much you could do with it until reading this book. I made my own candles using the recipes provided and they turned out great! If you're wanting to learn more about beekeeping you will need a different book, but it still gives quite a bit of detail. No complaints here!

This is such a great book! If you're into doing your own crafts and have been thinking of expanding to candles, soap and balms - this is the bEST Book to have. I love turning the page to a new craft because each product has beautiful imagery, easy to follow directions and thus far, the results have all been favorable. WHile there have surly been a few "pinterest fails" so-to-speak, As a neurotic jew, I love and appreciate the step-by-step directions as well as listing out the exact products. The #1 thing tht makes me quit a project is not having the right things prior to starting it. I've been hooked on essential oils and makign fun things with those products and this book was a natural fit for expanding my new found interest. I've never made anything with beeswax before - so be warned - if you're a newbie like me there are deffinitely some tools on some projects you will need to purchase prior to starting, so defiiteily make sure to look at ingredients. Fear not though, the book is so amazing it tells you if a recipe is for a beginner. When first starting, tht was extremely helpful. My friends and I have had so much fun making things. So far my personal favorite is the cracked skin salve! o

I've only tried the solid perfume and oil herbal infusion recipes so far but have many more beeswax projects from this book on the agenda. The book gave a very good insight into beekeeping and the process involved in extracting beeswax which was a real eye opener. It amazes me how versatile beeswax is and this book has reinforced my avid respect for these little creatures.

Ein wirklich wunderbares Buch. Es gibt so viele interessante Ideen die man mit Bienenwachs umsetzen kann. Die Cremen, die Salben, all die anderen Einfälle. Ein Buch das ich sehr oft verwende, wo ich schon vieles gemacht habe und dass ich sehr glücklich bin zu besitzen. Hoffentlich schreibt Frau Ahnert noch mehr Bücher!

This book is absolutely excellent! I have made 4 recipes already and each one has been perfect for it's intended use. The heel balm recipe is particularly good. Directions are straight forward and easy to follow and the end results are better than the highest quality products available on the market. I highly recommend this book!

This book is a must for beekeepers, the book content is truly brilliant, great recipes for making all sort of natural goodies, from candles, lip balms, soap, polish and so on. I love this kind of creativity. It letting nature do its thing then allowing us to make natural products to use of give as gifts. Super for a small holder.
