I've played acoustic on and off my entire life but decided I wanted to try electric. Unsure I didn't want to spend a great deal of money. After watching a lot of the YouTube reviews I decided to give GLarry a try. Most reviews say it needs a bit of set up (easy enough, just youtube that too), but other than minor intonation, mine didn't need adjusting. The finish is beautiful. The amp is a starter, good enough for beginners. The gig bag is really just a dust cover. No trouble tuning, the action is good, and the frets smooth. Nut is a little rough but no big deal there.

Well received this guitar set on Dec 2. The shipping was very fast and came in good shape. The reason I would not say that it is good for the beginner is that the one I received needs a lot of setup to be anywhere near playable even for someone with experience playing. Don't get me wrong this is a very nice guitar for the money but if the one I received is any indication as to the setup from the factory well let me say if you have never setup a guitar before your going to have to take it to a pro shop and pay to have it setup. The neck on mine needed straitening and the action was off the matt none of the strings are set to the same height the intonation is way off and so on. Not a big deal if you know how to fix all this but most beginners would be lost and end up never learning to enjoy the guitar and the great fun it is to play. So would I recommend this to someone with no knowledge on how to set one up yes if you are willing to ether spend the time to learn how to set one up and can afford to spend the extra money on the tool to do the job right. Or they don't mind laying out a little cash to have someone set it up for you. Once setup this is a very nice guitar and will give you years of pleaser if you take care of it. This is just my two cents worth take it for what it is my opinion.

So this isn't too bad for the price or for beginners. I had an acoustic guitar for years, and wanted to break into electric. The amp works, but doesn't have a lot of sound range, you can't really crank up distortion. I only have a couple real issues with the guitar, 1) The connector to the cord is really loose, and the connection can be intermittent if I'm moving around and playing, 2) The pick-up selector switch is located in the down-strum, and I accidentally bump into it a lot.

This guitar package is for the super beginner that someone who thinks they want learn to play guitar, This is great for the guitar teacher who needs a student guitar this will get the job done!

Bought this for my 12 year old grandson for Christmas. We opened it when it arrived before Christmas just to be sure it was as described and I was very pleased. Just what a beginner needs. His older brother plays and was he was impressed with it as well. Amp works great. I suggest buying extra strings.

Why do you buy this guitar over all the other near identical starter packages? Upgraded amp and selector switch. Most beginner sets I was considering has spare strings BUT they have only a 3 position selector switch and the Amp has only Bass/Treble adjustments. This guitar has a FIVE position selector switch and adjustable grind and mid amp adjustments. You can make quite a bit of change to the sound of the guitar with those few additions.

If I could rate this lower I would. I dont expect miracles for 90 bucks what I hope for is that the Low E doesnt go three notes out of tune by the time Im tuning High E. I also hope for a new product instead of a refurbished piece of garbage. the amp is horrendous buzzing and crackling no matter what. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. ***GARBAGE***

Product arrived as promised. Packaged well. Supplier easy to contact and answers promptly. Quality of brand is good for beginner and sound is nice. Would recommend for any new learner.
