Do these float or are they solid?

They are solid wood and would probably float. My are locked up inside the school I work at so I can't tell you for sure.

Isnt there a card showing the flat image of each piece?

No, we had to make a card for the shapes.

Is this product good to use?

Yes, this is an excellent product. My granddaughter was able to feel and turn the shapes around in her hands. She could use them while she was doing her math homework.
