Squirrels Go Nuts! is a cute and fun single-player logic game that’s become a favorite in our household. One of my favorite things about it is the size—it’s compact enough to toss in a bag and bring along to a restaurant or while traveling, making it a great screen-free option on the go. The age range seems spot on. My 6-year-old can handle the easier puzzles with just the right amount of challenge, while the harder levels keep my older kids interested and thinking critically. Highly recommended for families or anyone who enjoys a good brain teaser in a small package

My son loves this game and the rest of the family has enjoyed it as well. It's small and self contained, so it's easy to pack on a road trip. I like the variety in difficulty of the challenges. It's a great quiet activity that he can play on his own.

We own a few Smart games games including Little Red Riding Hood and Temple Connections, and my daughter loves them because they are so tactile and imaginative. She generally finds the pathway games (like the other two mentioned) easier and more engaging than this one. She gets a bit frustrated and I have to engage with her much more to reset the puzzle if she gets it wrong (whereas in the other two, the basic puzzle is set and doesn't move). But to be fair she's a bit younger than the recommended age for this, so I think she'll grow into it. However, she loves the acorns which have a truly marvelous feel and sound. My main comment is that, for a travel game, having open holes for the very small acorns to fall through seems like a questionable choice. I would not bring this on an airplane or any traveling situation that could involve turbulence. If I had one suggestion to the manufacturer it would be to put a little silicone cap underneath the holes (like those popper fidget thingies), so it would keep the acorns from potentially falling away but you could also push the acorns up from the bottom. Otherwise, it's fun and really sturdily built. Great choice for any kid who loves puzzles!

My six year old enjoys the starter level puzzles, my 9 and 10 year olds like the junior and expert levels and my husband and I like trying the master and wizard levels. And the 3 year old thinks the squirrels and acorns are cute. So, it’s a win for the whole family!

Great game! Definitely one of our favorites. It arrived missing one of the extra nuts, but that’s ok we’ll be extra careful to not lose any. It looks like a really simple game, but it can be quite tricky and really makes my 5 year old think about his moves. I read that a lot of people have an issue with the nuts falling out when it’s closed up and want to add that all you need to do is place the booklet over the bottom to block the holes and then place the playing pieces on top of the booklet . The book is needed to play the games anyway and it works perfectly to keep the nuts inside.

Teaches your child how to problem solve. Loads of fun to play. Even elderly adults like to play this game to keep their problem solving in tip top shape. Looks simple but it can be very challenging.

If you are looking for a fun brain workout, this is the game for you!! Very cute set comes with squirrels and acorns that you need to slide into specific holes. The instruction book is very clear, and there are different levels of game play. I play it once in a while, and it gets addictive once you get going! There is an answer key in the back. This is a good game for the ages indicated on the box. I think even older people (like, those in nursing homes who are bored) would enjoy this game.

Will keep you thinking and helps logical thinking for 8+.
