Skechers Men's Segment Melego Leather Chukka Waterproof Boot

I really dig these boots. These Dark Brown Skechers Men's Segment Melego Chukka Boots are well built, great looking and comfortable. I wear an average size 10 and these were a tad tight when I first put them on. But after a couple days of wearing them they settled in to a perfect fit. I've never seen flat leather laces on boots before and I thought they would be a bit short but after lacing them up properly and wearing them a while the laces are ideal. It'll take a little time to see how they last but they look cool and lace up perfectly. I wear them with MIRMARU Men's Hiking Outdoor Trail Running Trekking Moisture Wicking Cushion Crew Socks https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07G2WSXFT which are a fairly thick so the fit is a little snug. Normally I would remove the insole and replace them with a high quality gel insert but I haven't had to do that yet. The memory foam insole is fine. They look and feel good and I'm really happy with them after almost a month of wear. I highly recommend these boot/shoes. This is not a compensated revue.

so I have bought a pair of these every year since 2020. I floor care and work in a lot of chemicals stripper wax etc. I walk about 7 miles a day at work. and these shoes are great. and having a company that still makes shoes that are available in wide is a huge plus. these are great shoes. no breakin needed comfortable. I would say the only bad on the shoes is that with the walking I do the Rubber on the bottom wears out pretty fast. waterproofing is decent. but with anything like this you need to add to that if you want to keep them that way . in 2020 I paid 50 for these shoes now they are almost 100 I'd love to know how much of this is tariffs even though the price fluctuates wildly throughout the year. It's not the first time they have been this expensive but I just wait till they are a acceptable price. just hope those days are not over.

I frequently have problems with mid-height shoes like this that can badly chafe my ankles - apparently I have sensitive ankles. I've been doubling up socks while I break these in and so far thankfully that is NOT a problem with these boots which is a relief! I really like their appearance. They are indeed "relaxed fit" and if I was in the store I'd probably try a half size smaller to see if it would work, but I can wear them as-is. (My aging feet seem to prefer looser shoes now anyway.) I've only worn them a few times so far but they've already survived a day of heavy rains and held up well to the water. Still look new. They do show scuffs a little bit but it's not bad and they seem like they'll age well. My only issues with them: 1. they are a little tight on the back of my foot just above the heel, below the achilles. No chafing but I worry that it may get sore or bruise if I walk a lot. (I'm tallish and take long strides so this part of my heel may take impacts more than most people?) 2. The insole padding is not very thick or dense. My arches would prefer more support. I may see about swapping in some gel insoles if it becomes a problem. 3. Maybe because they're slightly big for me, when I snug the laces down it pulls the upper together enough to distort its shape a little bit. I'm going to try lacing them looser than I normally would as long as my foot doesn't slide around. I do like their appearance and as long as they stay comfortable they should be great casual winter shoes.

Skechers seem to be a good fit for my husband’s wide feet that also tend to swell lately so I thought I’d give these a try for him. He says they are comfortable enough and do fit well. However, I am the one who takes care of getting his work boots cleaned and freshened up after 4-6 consecutive days of wear and I noticed both the insides of the boots and his socks were very damp so they are definitely not doing a good job of keeping his feet cool and dry and that’s really important to me given he has to be on them for such long hours at a time. It seemed also that while I was tidying them up, the waterproof feature of not so great either. I just scrubbed asking the outsole and what little water reached over onto the leather went through right away. They’re a good looking boot and will work well for the fall and winter days he’s not working though. These have served their purpose when he needed something quickly and I wasn’t ready to spend $$$. But I’ll be ordering one of the more heavy duty pairs he’s had before.

I like the boot. At first the top of the boot bothered my ankles a bit. I think I simply tied them too tight. These did not fit snug on my feet. Not like say a pair of tennis shoes, or insulated boots, but they are comfortable. So the first day I got them I wasn't sure if I like them. But after wearing them around the house I realized they were comfortable. Know that sound like I had to get used to them but it was more like I had to get used to the style. They are really light weight. The leather is soft enough that they don't need to be broken in. There is no "crease" that presses into my toes like a lot of stiff leather shoes. With some shoes I wear a wide width. With Sketchers I order medium and there seems to be enough room. The actual size seems to be good. I have worn these all day and have not felt the need like I had to get them off. They also seem to hold up well against scuffs like when you bump your shoe against something.Short story....I would buy them again. And I am picky about my shoes. They don't have to be expensive, which these arn't.

Good sketchers quality as usual. These required a little bit of breaking in, (like half a day), but by the second day were incredibly comfortable. More so than others sketchers I've had. My last pair were a bottom of the line set of work shoes which were fine except the outer surface of the leather had a vinyl coating which tore within a few months and looked like hell. No more of those for me. I paid a little more for these, and got the quality I wanted. Nice good quality leather, look very good, and a better shoe all-around. If the water proof feature or wearability is an issue I'll edit this review. In all fairness I do have to say sketchers has been the best brand for me ever, but I won't be buying the very cheapest shoes in their line anymore. BUT the cheap pair are still comfortable and despite the surface tear are quite usable for things like painting etc. ************** Three months later after wearing them every day: These are without question the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned! Still look great (and I'm rough on shoes) and still waterproof. Love em!

Roomy, comfortable, and waterproof....at what I consider a very good price, makes these a satisfying purchase. Hopefully the durability and performance match my expectations....headed back East over Xmas and a week in sloppy wet/snowy conditions should give them a pretty good test. If anything negative occurs I will update that in this review....but if nothing is added here by 1/5/20 then it's OK to assume everything is going well and I still really like them. Baring anything odd happening, and if you're in the market for something like this...I'm pretty sure you won't go wrong giving these a try. Btw-im updating my wardrobe and this is my 3rd new pair from Skecher in last few weeks, in different styles and as a first-time Buyer of the brand am simply amazed how comfortable they all are. Also with Amazon being cool on allowing returns, let's one buy multiple sizes for comparison which makes finding the best fit so much easier and infinitely less frustrating. Great service offering good products wins my business everytime!

Can't say enough about these boots. Great for urban and rural trekking. I wear them throughout the winter and also when roughing it during the warmer months. Light weight, water resistant and comfortable. Wears like iron. (This is my second pair, sitting in the closet waiting for my originals to wear out, which they show no signs of doing!) Great looking too, pairing well with dress-casual attire.

Slightly larger than expected, but not a problem. These are a cracking pair of boots and extremely comfortable as you would expect from a pair of Skechers. A bonus that they are waterproof as well!

This has to the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn, its like walking on a cloud. I usually wear US 10 and do have wide feet, so I took a chance on these shoes and they are absolutely superb. They look great too and I love the looks of these shoes, for 101 AUD delivered these are incredible value for money and worth every cent.
